“Thank you. I’ve missed you more than you will ever know and I don’t want to waste any more time.” Baileysmiled, and I leaned down and took her lips.
“Dev, we need to go!” I leaned my forehead against hers and groaned.
“I knew I should have locked that door.” Baileychuckled, and I stepped away. “Let’s go before Coast comes up here.”
“I have a key, dumbass!”
Bailey walked out of theroom, and I followed. When we stepped outside the others were ready and waited on their bikes while I mounted mine and Bailey got on behind me. We stopped long enough for her to get in her car and then the six of us followed her until she was parked and safely in her house. The next stop was Soft Tails.
Chapter Ten
Devil
We pulled into the parking lot at Soft Tails and bikes were lined up. Most of the club had to be inside.
“Goddamn, what the hell is going on?” Crusher said after we parked and started toward the entrance of Soft Tails. The closer we got, the louder the sounds. By the time we reach the door, music could be heard along with the whoops and yells of the men inside.
“I swear I’m going to kick the asses of anyone who has trashed shit inside. They’re going to be fined and pay for any damages,” Crusher said and grabbed ahold of the handle on the door.
“They pulled my ass out of a warm bed and away from my ol’ lady. I might kick an ass or two on principal.”
“Brax didn’t tell you what was going on when he called?” Jag asked as Crusher pulled the door open.
“Nah, just said we’d want to get down here because the place was out of control. Then I had to fight with Carly ‘cause her ass wanted to come in case we needed backup.” Crusher shook hishead, and we entered the club.
Brax stood just inside the entrance when we walked in, and I looked around and didn’t see any destruction. Other than the music being loud everyone in the place seemed to be enjoying themselves as they drank and watched the girls on the stage.
“What the fuck? Why were we called!” Crusher yelled out over the music.
“I got told to call you and tell you to get down here.Theydidn’t tell me why, Prez,” Brax answered.
We stood there for a few minutes and watched. Stroker, Preacher, Cruz, and Flyboy sat a table with Wild Bill and Keg.
“We got woke up for this shit!” Speed yelled.
“And where in the fucking hell is my dad?” Flirt asked.
“I don’t know,” Jag said, then looked around. “Isn’t that Romeo at the bar.” Jag pointed to where Romeo stoodleaningon the bar as he talked with Stem who was bartending. Flirt started toward his dad.
“Hell, maybe Romeo knows what the hell is going on,” I said.
“Go with Flirt. We can go check with the others,” Crusher started toward the table where his dad and the others sat.
“Hell,” I mumbled and followed Flirt toward the bar. I noticed as the others weaved between the tables, the members they passed by stopped talking. Something was up. When we reached Romeo, he looked up at us and saluted with the beer bottle he held in his hand.
“What brings you boys out at this time of night?” Romeo asked, looked at his watch, then continued, “or morning I guess.” Flirt moved in front of his dad.
“Why did we get woke up to come down here? Nothing is fucking going on.” Flirt fanned his arm out to include the whole place. Romeo’s lips twitched as he looked at Flirt.
“Well, I would love to share, but I haven’t been here long myself.” Romeo took a drink of his beer.
“Anythinghappenbefore we got here?” I asked Stem.
“Nope. Typical night,” Stem answered and then moved down the bar to wait on Boss and Turk as they walked up.
“You left with them so where have you been?” Flirt asked, and Romeo looked at him and then to me.
“I took Claire home. Stayed and talked with her until about twenty minutes ago.”
