“Got something to look forward to.” Mac rolled her eyes at Coast’s words.

Everyonestood, and the other men and I tossed some cash on the table to cover Thelma and the other waitress’stip, and I picked up the checks the waitress had set on the end of the table as she had walked by with the order for the table behind us. I fished mine out and then hand the others toCoast, and he did the same, then handed the last two over to Crusher and Speed.

“Where’s my ticket?” Bailey asked and looked at the end of the table as if more tickets would appear.

“Yeah, I didn’t get one either,” Mac added.

“Yours is on my ticket,” Coast said.

“And I got yours, Bay.” I pushed the chairs in and started toward the register.

“I can pay for my own lunch,” Bay said as she followed behind me.

“Sure you can. Don’t make a big deal out of this. I got it.” As the cashier rang it up, I reachedintomy pocket, pulled out the cash I had shoved into it and paid for our food.

“That goes for me too. I don’t expect for you to pay for my food.” I smiled inwardly at Mac’s response. Coast was going to have his hands full. That was if Mac even let him get close enough.

“I’m not complaining about paying for your lunch, so why are you bitching about it?” I moved to the side just as Coast spoke and set his ticket and cash on the counter.

“Trust me, this is not remotely close to me bitching. This wasn’t as ifwewere on a date.” Mac huffed. It took everything in me not to laugh. Coast paid the check and even spoke to the cashier as though Mac wasn’t even talking to him. Though I knew the brother heard it all. When he wasdone, and his change was put away, he turned and stepped out of the way before responding.

“No, sweetheart, trust me—when we are on a real date, you don’t want to bitch at me—because I will take you into the closest restroom and spank your ass.” Mac’s mouth droppedopen, and Coast didn’t say anything else he just turned, opened the door and walked out.

“Well, that was interesting,” Carly said as she smiled and stood beside Crusher at the counter.

“Yeah,it was. Shows he’s a dick,” Mac said, then looked at Bailey and continued, “I’ll meet you at the car.” Before Bailey could respond, Mac was out the door.

“Thanks for lunch, I better get her back to the office and my butt to the bakery.” Bailey hugged Carly and Sami. The women spoke to each other while Speed paid.

“You two look good together,” Crusher said low so the women wouldn’t overhear.

“Thanks, Prez.”

“Hell, I still can’t get used to that. There havebeen a few times someone’s yelled out‘Prez,’ and I’ve looked to see where my dad was before it hits me they are yelling at me.” Crusher chuckled.

“Probably because we arelaxin calling you that. We need to make an effort doing it. You are ourPrez, and we should show the respect that position holds.”

“Thanks, Dev.”

With our bills paid, everyone walked out. When I stepped out onto the sidewalk and looked up and down the street, I noticed on one side Mac stood beside Bailey’s car and was focused on her phone while at the other end, Coast sat on his bike and stared at her.

Sami’s car was parked in front of ourbikes, and Bailey’s car was further down the street. As Speed and Crusher started helping Sami and Carly in the car, I headed the opposite direction to walk Bailey to hers.

“Everything okay with you, Bay?”

“Yeah, why?”

“Well, you were at thedoctor.”

“Oh, I was talking with Mac. I start work there a week from Monday.”

“Fuck, Bay, that is awesome. Congrats. Proud of you. You’re finally getting to do what you always wanted to.” We reached thecar, and she hit her key fob and the doors unlocked. Mac gotinthe passenger side and closed the door as I walked to the driver’s side with Bailey.

“A little later than I planned, but that’s okay.” Bailey smiled and reached for the handle on the door.

“A lot of things are happening later than were planned.” Bailey turned and frowned up atme, and I stepped into her personal space. My hands went to the sides of her face and into her hair. I tilted her headup, and I lowered until my mouth took hers. The gasp from her parted her lips, which was enough to allow for my tongue to enter. Fuck going slow with her, it was long overdue to take what had always been mine.

As I devoured her on the street I heard “Get a room!” and a few “About time!” yelled, but the sounds were muffled, only the woman and her taste were important to me. Bailey stiffened at first, but then relaxed and melted into me. One of her hands was still on the car door handle and the other was now braced on the side of the car as she used it to keep her balance.
