Ithought about takingthe stairs and getting on my bike and riding until my head cleared, then going home. It would have also kept me from facing everyone in the room, but I couldn’t do it. They were my family. I would take what they dished out because I deserved it.

Turning to head back toward the room, I noticed Mac, with Poppy on her hip and the other kids, walking toward me. If the other women’s expressions were anything like Mac’s, they were going to chew my ass or skin me alive.

Mac never said a word. She just pushed the down button for the elevator and faced the doors as she waited. Tracker, Paxton, and Neely glanced at me with looks of pity but said nothing. Ally, on the other hand, had no problem tossing her opinion at me.

“You’re in trouble. You hurt Sawyer’s momma’s feelings. Are you going to fix it, Uncle Flirt?”

“I’m going to try.”

“Okay. Sometimes if you say you’re sorry, ya don’t get in trouble. They just tell ya not to do it again,” Ally said and pursed her lip, then added. “If you cry a little, that helps, too.”

“Thanks for the advice. I might have to use it,” I answered and heard Mac snort.

Who could blame her? I stood in the hallway of a hospital, listening to advice from a little girl. If I weren’t the one who had caused the mess, I would have found humor in the situation.

As Mac and the kids got on the elevator, I walked back to the room. With one hand on the door, I used my other and swiped down my face, then took a deep breath, blew it out, and pushed the door open. By the looks on everyone’s faces, Ally was right; I was in trouble.

“I’m sorry. Bad judgment call on my part,” I said as I stepped fully into the room. Yeah, how ironic I used Ally’s advice, but I would be damned if I added tears like she suggested. “And I apologize for ruining a happy day with my bullshit. I knew she would be stopping by, and I should have stayed away until she left.”

“Brother, what the ever-loving fuck was that?” Speed was the first to speak.

“I imagine it’s what a train wreck would look like,” Devil responded.

“Maybe if everyone onboard caught on fire,” Jag added.

“Brutal was what it was,” Crusher piped in.

I looked between Coast and Ghost and held my hands out, palms up. “Anything you want to add?”

“No, I contributed enough with my teasing words, which I’m sure I’ll hear about later from Mac,” Coast said.

Ghost laid the son he held in his arms down, then rested a hip on the side of Luna’s bed before he spoke, “You and I have been through a lot together. We have a bond as SEALs that has grown even more since I came home with you and joined the MC. You’ve never once waivered in giving support to me, and you know I will always have your back regardless of what is going on. I could tell you how wrong today was, but you know that already. I received a second chance at a family and life because you and the others in this room wouldn’t let me give up on myself. Brother, I want to return the favor. You lectured each of us on grabbing what we wanted and not settling. You have told us more than once exactly what you would do if you found the perfect woman.

“And though what happened here was dreadful, I honestly don’t believe you set out to hurt Brie. So, if she is your woman, I’ll do whatever I can to help you fix this fuckup. You deserve to be as happy as we are.”

When Speed, Crusher, Devil, Coast, and Jag each agreed with Ghost, I had to swallow to remove the lump that had formed in my throat. But I was under no delusion the women were going to be as generous. Especially when not one of them had spoken since I returned.

I ran my hand across the back of my neck. If I couldn’t be honest with family, who could I be honest with? And everyone in the room was my family.

The simple fact was I had known the minute Gabriella walked through the door at Whispering Nights, she was mine. Each time we were together only solidified it more for me. I looked around the room before I answered, “I might have let this situation go on too long and bruised Gabriella’s feelings. She’ll get over it because I refuse to allow it to go any other way. I will do what is necessary to remedy the problem. Gabriellaismine, and I will make her see it.” My brothers grinned at me while each woman wore a different expression.

Luna jumped in first. “Brie will either fall into your arms or rip your balls off.”

“I’ll take ‘rip your balls off’ for twenty,” came from Carly.

“Of course, you always choose the violent way to go,” Sami said to Carly, then she looked in my direction. “I have gotten to know Brie pretty well since Ally and Sawyer became friends. I don’t know why you felt the need to keep your association with Black Hawk from her, and honestly, it’s the least important part of this. But I know you, Flirt, and I believe the reason is important to you. It has to be more than just your need...” Sami paused as if drawing a blank on what to say, which gave the others a chance to jump in and come to her aid.

“For kinky sex,” Luna prodded.

“To get his freak on,” came from Carly.

“To dominate someone,” came from River.

“To have controlling sex,” came from Bailey as all four women spoke simultaneously.

Christ and not one of the women had a clue about a D/s relationship. I looked at each of my brothers and lifted a brow. They shrugged and smirked. If the bastards thought I would do any explaining, they were crazy. They could each answer their own woman’s questions.
