“It’s only the centerpiece tree and the other two red bananas. The other plants are all fine.”
I sit back on the ground as I fold my legs. Kieron lets me rest against him as he pulls me into his side. Dorian and Noah sit across from us. They press into each other’s sides. Noah’s right wing drapes over Dorian’s shoulder. My rage starts to simmer inside of me thanks to my mates' support.
“Why would someone curse the trees? Why now? Especially since your magic is back. Is it a coincidence?” Kieron muses softly. His eyes look off into the distance. “Would you recognize the curse maker if you met them?”
“We’d recognize the magic residue if they’d cast anything around them within the last hour. Otherwise, it would be too faint to be sure.” I'm stroking his arm. He has minimal hair but what is there’s faint in color but soft. “If we can find them, we can make them give us the reversal spell.” Or, rather, Igor could make them.
“Have any ideas where to start?” Noah tilts his head as he smirks at me before his eyes go to Kieron and back to me.
I don’t have any idea. I have no idea who would want to hurt the tree’s, or me, for that matter. I'm boring enough that I don’t have any enemies. I just shake my head to the question.
“I have an idea.” Dorian has pulled out his phone. “Let me research briefly on it before I say anything.”
Well, that isn’t frustrating at all. Not. My face must give away my thoughts because the guys start snickering softly at me.
“You have the cutest reactions when you’re angry.” Kieron pulls me into his lap. "This is frustrating, but you're not alone."
