Steve continues, turning her attention back to him, listening attentively."I point to the bathroom, and he charges off like you needed your ass saved.Like you were in the fight."

Scarlett giggles and Siri cuts her eyes at her, but play slaps my chest."I have you know I didn't need saving.I wasn't anywhere near the fight when it broke out.I was talking to Scarlett ."

Scarlett is giggling her ass off, so I cock my eyebrow, giving it back to her.But Siri's face is sincere, and her eyes truthful.And Scarlett is sitting on Paul's lap, so I'm not one hundred percent positive those giggles are from what Siri said or other activities happening below the table.

Then, "Put me down!Let me go, you stupid bro," drowns out all the other noise.Two bouncers, strong-arming Ruth, approach us.Followed by two more dragging a couple of her bitches.As soon as she spots us, she comes unhinged, and the other two glare at Siri."YOU ROYAL BITCH!Who do you think you are moving in on MY man!"She fights the grip the bouncers have on her, but they hold on tight."PUT ME DOWN!"

I step between them and Siri, blocking their view.But as soon as they are out of sight, I slowly turn around to face her.Everyone within hearing distance stares at her waiting for an explanation.

She crinkles her nose and smiles but doesn't say a word.

I frown, feeling thunderous.If she's lied, my heart will be broken, but we're through.I can't afford not to trust the woman I choose to be with one hundred percent."What the hell happened?"

She confesses, "I wasn't anywhere near Ruth when the fight broke out, but I was the reason."

"How?"The relief that floods through me that she told the truth nearly takes my breath away.

"Ruth tried to jump me when I came out of the bathroom."

Scarlett chimes in, "Dude, Ruthless physically assaulted her!"

We listen as Scarlett brags, "You should have seen her!Siri stood up to ole Ruthless and all her bitches.Every one of them!She was fearless.When Ruth grabbed her hair, Siri punched her square in the face and shoved her against the wall.Then she backed off and dared the rest of them to jump on her.'Who wants to go first?'She challenged the whole damn gang.It was great!Those pussies bailed on Ruth without a second thought."

Siri looks up at me and finishes the story."Ruth went in the bathroom after them, and that's when the actual fight broke out."

I pull her against me, and her arms encircle my waist.

Gaby asks, "You mean the fight was between Ruthless and her crew because Siri scared the shit out of them?"

"Yes!"Scarlett laughs her ass off."It was fucking awesome, Gaby.Siri is a badass!"

"I want all the details.NOW!"Gaby hones in on Scarlett for the details.

While Scarlett tells us precisely what happened, starting with Siri's bitch slapping Debbie, I sit in the chair and pull Siri on top of me.She straddles my lap.
