“Blue,” he moans.
I release him, already hating my next words. “I have an early shootaround.” I kiss over my bite mark. “I have to go.”
“No, fly back,” he groans, tilting his head up and drawing me into a kiss.
The flight options were shit when I looked last night. If I leave now, I’ll beat traffic.
“Salem,” I moan as his hands explore my body.
“Stay,” he begs at the same time I rasp, “Fuck…Lube?”
“Huh?” His fingers work my belt.
“Got lube?”
His hands freeze. “Shit.” The back of his head slumps to the pillow. “No lube or condoms.”
Damn.
I reach for his waistband. “This will be even quicker then.”
After we 69 and clean up, I order my car and dress quickly. Or at least I’m trying to get dressed, when my chest is pressed against the door, and my chin is turned sideways for a kiss. I melt into the breathless rhythm of our tongues curling and stroking each other.
“Thank you for coming,” he pants after pulling back.
I reach in for one more taste, chasing the taste of our cum.
“When can I see you again?”
“Soon,” he answers. “Promise.”
CHAPTER 40
ARNAZ
“CPTSD”
Surviving yesterdays.
There are more of us than I thought there would be as I pull in next to the cars filling Ty’s driveway in Topanga Canyon. Ty lived here before he and Sid purchased their estate in Hidden Hills. It’s kept for appearances for situations like this, where word got around about tonight and not everyone knows they’re a couple, or that Sid’s bi and Ty’s gay.
Killing the ignition, I call Salem for the second time today. It goes straight to voicemail again.
“Hey. It’s…um”—I clear my throat—“Blue. Call me.”
We’ve talked every night since Milwaukee, except last night when we missed each other.
I hang up.
Damn, I miss him. It’s been less than a week.
I didn’t know it could feel this way—like my lungs don’t have enough space to expand.
Sid rushes out, shutting the door behind him, as I step out of the car. “I saw it was you on the security camera.”
“And you felt like escorting me inside?” I tease.
“Good, good. You’re in a good mood tonight.”
