He smiles. “Since day one.”
“How did you get past security?”
He arches his head. “Huh?”
“At my college game.”
“Oh, there was an older guy at the front. He promised he wouldn’t make a big deal about me being there in exchange for a selfie and autograph.”
“Slight curve to his back, thick glasses?” I ask, describing Jim.
“Yeah, why?”
I chuckle. “Damn. He’s good. I asked him if he saw you and he looked at me like I had three heads.”
I swear barelyan hour has passed when my alarm wakes me up. I groan as I reach to silence it. Sid groans too.
“Sorry,” I grunt. I sit up bleary-eyed and get my bearings. I gaze over at Sid. An arm covers his face.
I take in his onesie and smile.
We slept together on the couch and even though we didn’t touch each other, something about it still feels…perfect.
“I’m going to shower and head out,” I whisper as he stirs.
“Aight, Leslie should be here any minute to take you to the airport.”
“Thanks. You do think of it all,” I say with a yawn.
He stretches and tries to sit up but falls back down.
Adorable.
“Stay there.”
I stand up and stretch. His sleepy gaze tracks my movements. I lean over to hug him goodbye.
“Christ, you smell amazing,” I whisper. Without thinking, I nuzzle my nose in his neck. I stiffen, realizing how weird that was, but then he chuckles. The rasp of his morning laugh goes straight to my dick. Luckily, when I pull away, his eyes are closed again. I quickly adjust my semi-erection.
“You don’t snore,” he says.
“Good to know,” I say, swiping up my phone.
“You got a boner.”
“Word?” I ask, not surprised.
“No bullshit,” he confirms, grinning.
“When did you fall asleep?”
His heavy-lidded eyes peel open, gazing up at me. I don’t think it’s meant to look as sexy as it does. But damn if it doesn’t make heat rise up my back.
“Not long after you. I got up in the middle of the night to piss. That’s when I saw it.”
I groan and cover my face with my hands.
Wait…he got up to use the restroom, then returned to sleep on the couch next to me instead of his bed? Why?
