Felix cleared his throat. “Now now, couple on the couch, no bickering. We’ll take five questions from our audience.”
André turned his frown back at him. “Wait, are you live right now?”
Felix gave him a downright evil grin. “I am, so pay attention. First question, are you two really dating? Okay, that one’s too blatantly obvious. I’m ignoring it. New first question: Ian, how did you catch André?”
“He petted a very cute cat,” André answered honestly. “Basically, all it took.”
Ian grinned at this answer, shaking his head at the memory. “In other words, other way around. He caught me.”
“Question two: André, don’t you normally just hook up with people?”
“I did, yes, but don’t you dare think that’s what I’m doing here.” André shook a firm finger at the camera. “I’m serious. He’s my boyfriend. Don’t even try to convince yourselves otherwise.”
Felix smiled, approving of this response. But then, he got it. He’d been in this situation with Benedict. “Question three: Are you open to a threesome? Wow, that was bold.”
Ian immediately shook his head. “Uh, no. Sorry, no, not comfortable with that.”
Neither was André. The possessive side of him, normally dormant and on life support, sprang forth with the energy of a superhero who had encountered the final boss. His vampire side had definite opinions about sharing his Ian, none of them kind. “I’m not the sharing type. Also, note that I have zero chill where Ian is concerned. You proposition him, and there will be hell to pay.”
“Huh, this fourth question is for me. Felix, how serious are these two? Look.” Felix switched the camera around to face himself. “I have watched this play out, okay? I have seen André moping on the couch for weeks because Ian wouldn’t agree to a dinner date.”
André rolled his eyes to the ceiling, praying for patience. “For fuck’s sake, don’t tell them that—”
Felix ignored him and kept rolling. “I have watched on the sidelines as André basically did backsprings in order to get his attention. I watched Ian fall for him, step by step, over the course of weeks. Yes, they’re serious about each other. No, you do not want to cross a Castor man where his lover is involved. Okay? Trust me on this. They spoil their significant others shamelessly, and they will ruin you if you piss them off too much”—Felix shot the camera a smug look—“and André is no different than Benedict when it comes to this. Last question. Make it good, people.”
Felix flipped the camera back around. “Ian, aren’t you nervous dating the most famous playboy on campus?”
That was just hurtful. Not without foundation, granted, but hurtful. Curse past him.
Ian looked completely exasperated by this question. As if, in his mind, it had no foundation. It was rather heartening.
His boyfriend’s expression firmed into one of steel before he answered. “Look, I don’t know about the rest of you, but I don’t date someone I can’t trust. André has completely earned my trust. No, I’m not nervous. He’s given me no reason to be.”
André beamed at Ian. Look at him, being so cute and sexy. He would reward that answer as soon as the camera shut off. (André didn’t care about the camera, but he knew Ian would, so he respected that.)
“And that’s all for today, folks! You now understand what’s happening and where André and Ian stand. If you’re interested in one of them, tough luck. If you think approaching one of them is a grand idea, it shows you have no survival skills. Bye, now!” Felix stabbed theEndbutton and then looked up with a smile. “You’re welcome.”
André did admit he’d just done him a favor, but… “Maybe warn us next time before you go live?”
“I wanted to catch you two being all natural with each other, not stiff. The optics work better. I’ll tag you both so you can see it later. As for now”—Felix pocketed his phone and looked toward the door with a leer—“I think Benedict’s heading toward our apartment alone. I should do something about that. Bye, kids! Have fun!”
He bounced out of the room and was gone with nothing but vacuumed air in his wake.
Ian watched him go, expression perplexed. “Does Felix ever think of anything aside from sexing your brother up?”
“As far as I can tell…no. He brags, too. Felix has no shame.” André wasn’t interested in discussing Felix. He had other things on his mind. He leaned back in and kissed the side of Ian’s neck, nuzzling where he’d left bite marks last night.
Ian tilted his head to allow this but still protested. “Absolutely anyone can walk in and see us.”
“So what you’re saying is, if I take you upstairs, I can do as I want?”
Ian sat on that for about three seconds. “I only have two hours before you have to take me to my dorm.”
“I can do a lot in two hours. Trust me. You’ll make it to work on time.”
Ian arched an eyebrow. “But will I be in any condition to work?”
“Now that,” he purred, “I can’t promise.”
