“Hey, when did you get back?” Ezra asks from behind me.
I turn, facing him. “Just a minute ago. Do you know where Liam is?”
Ezra frowns, shaking his head. “I don’t, and for some reason, I find it highly concerning that you don’t know where he is either.”
I roll my eyes. “He’s a grown man and doesn’t report to either of us.”
Ezra raises a brow. “Yes, but it would be so much easier if he did. The last time he slipped out, he tried to bring home a cat.”
“It was a cute cat,” I defend.
“A cute cat that would send Santi to the emergency room,” he says slowly.
“True.” I cringe.
“Anyway, I came looking for you for a reason. You have no plans tonight, correct?”
“None.”
Ezra nods. “Good. I’ve decided to order in from your favorite place tonight. The guys and I talked it over and we decided that we would spend the evening together to celebrate.”
“I would like that,” I confess quietly.
Ezra rubs the back of his neck awkwardly. “Good. Well then, I best get back to work so I can finish everything early.”
“Later,” I say as I watch him walk back down the hall.
Maybe tonight won’t be so bad after all.

I come to a stop in front of the arrivals section at the airport and jump out of the car.
“I’m so fucking sorry I’m late,” I say as I hurry around the hood of the car.
“It’s okay.” Aurora laughs as I pull her into my arms.
“I fucking missed you,” I confess as I rock her in my arms before kissing her.
“I missed you too,” she whispers.
“Oi!” someone yells, getting our attention.
A security guard stands a few feet away with his hands on his hips, glaring at us.
“This isn’t a place to canoodle! Grab your bags and go. You’re holding up the line.”
Aurora giggles softly and waves at the man. “Sorry, sir.”
“Can’t a man just love on his girl?” I mumble before looking around Aurora. “Where is your bag?”
“This is it,” Aurora says, patting the small duffel bag. “I can only stay until Sunday. As it is, I already took an extra two days to be here on time.”
“Is it wrong that I don’t want you to leave already?” I ask as I open her car door.
“I just got here,” she teases as she gets into the car,
Shutting the door, I round the hood and get back in and take off.
