I have no idea where Drake is going to fit in, but I hope he does. I didn’t miss the way Liam and Drake gravitated toward one another almost as much as they did toward me. Or how one kissed the other’s cheek. Even through mini-golf, they were all touchy-feely with not only one another but me too. When I beat their asses, they each happily gave up the kiss on the cheek I demanded. I wanted to demand more, but I’m not sure if Drake saw me kiss Liam. I don’t want to ruin anything by moving too fast for them.
So when we came to the park and moved to sit down, I let them take the lead. At first, we were just sitting next to one another, but then Drake suggested I lie down. I let him guide my head to his lap, for comfort of course. Then Liam made himself comfortable against me.
I love the way that they aren’t afraid to touch me. If Liam had my hand in his, Drake had his arm around my shoulder. When Liam wrapped an arm around my hip, Drake wrapped a hand around the back of my neck in such a possessive way that I felt safe. Wanted. Desired.
I’ve had dreams about having them together before. Hell, I’ve had dreams about all four of them taking me as a team, but I never imagined that it would actually happen. That I would have even one of them showing the slightest bit of attention toward me.
I know this might not end well. I’ve heard the rumors. Liam and Drake have been known in the past for taking a woman at the same time. No details were ever revealed other than the fact that they shared a room. It always made me jealous. I wanted to be that girl. The one sandwiched between the two.
Instead, I was only a face on the other end of the screen.
Not anymore. The question is, what do they want?
Is this just friendship, or do they want me? Are the rumors about them true?
“What’s got you thinking so hard?” Drake asks, pulling me from my thoughts.
I hesitate before clearing my throat. “Can I ask you two something?”
Both of them freeze.
“What’s up?” Drake asks.
I roll my head toward Drake to look up into his face. “Take this as I mean it and not how it sounds, but why are you two here?”
“We wanted to see you in person. Spend some time with you,” Liam responds quickly, leaning up so he can also see my face.
“But why? We have been talking for years. You’ve never once made it seem like you would want to meet in real life. If you wanted to meet me, you could have invited me to a party or even met me at an event, but you came out of your way to see me on my home turf. I’m just curious as to why now?”
“It’s complicated,” Drake starts. “We all like you. We’ve even talked about inviting you to parties before, but it has to be a unanimous decision.”
I think over his words, then it hits me. “So neither of you voted against me.” When they shake their heads, I continue, “So Santi or Ezra don’t want me there. Is it both of them?”
Liam sighs, “It’s not.”
I nod once. “It’s Ezra then. He hates me that much?”
My heart drops. I thought we were having fun. I didn’t realize that maybe the asshole act that I had thought was all fun and games might actually be real.
“Can we be honest with you?” Drake asks, his hand caressing my face.
“Always,” I murmur, my heart still aching.
Liam speaks slowly. “It’s been, what… two years since we started talking to you?”
“Something like that,” I admit.
“You intrigued us,all of us,right away. Slowly we’ve built a friendship with you. Shit, you’ve been driving us crazy for years without even knowing it.” Liam groans.
“What he’s trying to say is, don’t take it to heart. Ezra has some issues he needs to work through. Liam and I came here alone because we wanted to take that first step. We wanted to see if you were the same person you are in your posts,” Drake finishes.
My heart feels a little lighter at his words. “Ezra doesn’t hate me?”
Drake shakes his head. “No, Beauty. He doesn’t. Give him some time.”
“He will come around,” Liam adds.
I swallow hard, taking in their words.
