“Hey,” Liam says, getting my attention by placing a hand on my arm. “It’s all good. We don’t expect you to drop everything to hang out with us.”
“But we would like to spend time with you if we can,” Drake says, cutting him off.
I bite my lip as I look over my shoulder at the busy restaurant. I want to so bad, but part of me is wondering if I’m ignoring any red flags. These guys did just show up in my city out of nowhere. They are now asking me to go out with them. Shouldn’t I feel creeped out?
I don’t. Instead, I want to blurt out that I’d go anywhere with them. Man, am I pathetic.
“Look, why don’t you take our drink order and think it over while you check on your other tables?” Drake says, making me look back at him.
“Okay.” I nod. “What can I get you guys?”
“I’ll be good with a water.” Drake smiles.
“I’ll take the same, but a little ice.”
“Easy enough. I’ll be back.” I smile at them before walking away.
My mind is racing. Drake and Liam are here. Not only that, but they came to this restaurant for me. There is no way to misinterpret that. Drake literally said he remembered I worked here. What could that mean? Are they wanting to connect because we have been talking online, or do they want more?
I’ve heard Liam and Drake have a unique dynamic. They haven’t been super open about their relationship, but there are whispers that sometimes they are more than friends. Where would I fit in that dynamic?
I check my other tables in a daze.
Glancing over at their table, I take them in once again.
Drake looks like a dream in his dark-blue Henley shirt, the perfect complement to his blue eyes and dark hair. He finished the outfit out with dark blue jeans, making him look like the bad boy girls fawn over.
In contrast, Liam looks like a bright, funny guy. His blond hair a little longer, falling into his face. He has brown, almost golden eyes. He’s wearing a bright-green shirt with a pair of black jeans that fit him to aT.
They both look like the gods they are and it hasn’t gone unnoticed. Not only are my fellow coworkers drooling over them, but many of the women around them are as well.
A pang of jealousy hits me. I hate that they all are looking at them like they are available. I wish they were mine. That I could go over there and stake my claim.
In a way, I kinda can. They did come here for me after all.
Grabbing both of their drinks, I drop them off at their table.
“Let me drop off this bill real fast, and I’ll be right back.” I purposely reach out and touch them both.
“No rush.” Drake raises a brow at the touch but doesn’t shake it off.
Liam only gives me a large smile.
With the bill safely dropped off at the table next to them, I take a deep breath before moving back before them.
“All right. What can I get you guys?” I pull my pad out.
They take turns placing their order and I write them down.
Before I can chicken out, I blurt out, “What are you guys doing tomorrow?”
Liam’s teeth are so white with his smile that they almost blind me. “That depends on you.”
“Well, I have the day off…” I say, eyeing them. “Have you guys ever been to the city before?”
“Outside of layovers?” Liam looks at Drake.
Drake picks up where he left off. “Once for about forty-eight hours.”
