I smile. “Oh come on, babe. He’s hot.”

I start to walk us toward our group, not missing the way Barrett is looking at us instead of the spectacle of men filtering in the room.

“I knew I had to worry about him. I’ll shank him if he tries to steal you.”

“Don’t worry, baby doll. You’re the only one I want.”

When we reach the group, she untangled her legs from my waist, so I lower her to the ground, keeping my hands on her.

“We are going to fucking win this. I went all out,” Grant proclaims as he walks over.

“Are you wearing my thong? What the fuck, Grant? I’m going to have to throw that entire outfit out now. You damn brute,” Nessa says.

He leans down, kissing her, making her smile. “Come on, my little Loch Ness Monster. It’ll be worth it when we win. Besides, tell me this doesn’t make you hot?”

She tries to glare, but her smile bleeds through.

“You asshole.”

“Did he call my sister the Loch Ness Monster?” Katie whispers.

I smirk. “I don’t think we were meant to hear that.”

She shakes her head, smiling.

I call over to Grant, “Bro, I’d do you.”

“Fuck yeah you would. I’m a damn snack.”

We all laugh, but it’s Katie who has my attention.

She always has my attention.

I can’t get enough of her.

DAY SEVEN: ARUBA

Last night was a blast.

I know I usually give Nessa shit for the activities she ends up roping me into, but last night was like nothing I’d ever experienced.

When they said an adult scavenger hunt, I had no idea it would get so crazy.

Thankfully, I didn’t end up losing any more clothing, but some of the other participants did.

In the end, we weren’t the winners. We still got a small gift bag with promotional items from the cruise line though. That and the experience.

The entire night was almost perfect.

Almost because I couldn’t ignore the way Barrett continued to stare at me.

It wasn’t even that his eyes were on me.

No, he looked sad. Regretful.

Even though we are truly over and I have moved on, I still can’t help but feel a little bad for him.
