“Sounds great.”
Part of me hopes I’m wrong. If we go shopping now, we can get back to the ship sooner.
Snap out of it. You’re not this wanton hussy.
Something about Dominic makes me feel like one though. I’ve never been with someone that I felt such an intense attraction toward. Lately, whenever he’s in a room, I want to touch him. I want him to touch me.
Maybe I felt this before, but couldn’t tell because I hid it under my hate.
Who knows?
As he flags down a taxi, I can’t help but admire him. I haven’t missed the way other women look at him either. At first, it made me uncomfortable, but he never paid them any mind.
Another reminder that he and Barrett are worlds apart.
Barrett used to stare at other women and even ask me if I thought they were hot. At the time, I thought it was his way of including me and reassuring me that he was only looking objectively.
Dominic doesn’t look though. His eyes are always on me.
He opens the door to the car, helping me in. I slide over, giving him room, but as soon as he’s in, he pulls me back to his side.
“Where to?” the driver says.
At least I think that’s what he says. It sounds like English might not be his strong suit.
“Glory Hills.” My voice is confident.
He looks over his shoulder, giving us a questioning stare.
“Glory Hills?”
I can barely make out the words he says, but the way he looks unsure isn’t making me feel confident.
“Yes. Is that here?” I ask.
He nods slowly. “Fifty American dollars.”
“Done,” Dominic says before I can call the guy a rip off.
I roll my eyes. Dominic hasn’t been flaunting his money, but he has also been paying for everything. It bothers me as if he is buying me, but he’s assured me that he wants to spend money on me.
Either way, I haven’t asked for much, so I’ve let it go. I’ll let him pay transportation but not for any gifts I want.
The car takes off, leaving Dominic to lean into me. He nuzzles my neck, making me giggle.
“Stop it. We are in public.”
I can feel his grin against my skin. He kisses me.
“I can’t help it. You look so beautiful in that dress. With so much of your skin on display, I want to kiss it all.”
I push him away. “Behave.”
He tries to, but his hands still find my skin, caressing me as we make our way out of the center part of the city.
When the car finally comes to a stop, I frown. It’s a nondescript building.
Dominic hands over the money to the taxi driver before helping me out.
