Page 78 of You Kissed Me First

I feel like we just had a brush with danger.

He laughs. Then he stops, bending over to laugh harder.

“What? What the fuck, Dom?”

He shakes his head. It takes him several minutes to get a hold of himself. Then he stands, pulling me into his arms, kissing my temple.

“Glory Hills, huh? I think the driver misunderstood us.”

“What can you misunderstand from that?”

“Have you ever heard of a glory hole?”

“What? No?”

He chuckles, pulling back to look at my face. “It’s where there’s a hole in the wall and on one side there’s someone who is servicing whatever dicks come through the holes. Could be male or female on the other side. Anyway, I’m pretty sure we were taken to a glory hole.”

My stomach turns. “You mean, they were fucking someone through the hole?”

He nods. “Pretty sure the paper above the hole is a picture of whoever is on the other side.”

“Oh my fucking god. I can’t. I’m going to be sick.”

His humor fades as he looks concerned. “What can I do?”

I shake my head. “That man came right in front of me. Then he turned and looked at me. He was leering. Ick.”

He leans down, kissing me lightly. “Let’s grab a taxi. We can head back to the ship.”

“No. Let’s go shopping. I need someone to replace this memory of Curaçao.”

He pulls me into his side. “At least we have a memory to last a lifetime.”

“We were there less than two minutes. You just spent two hundred dollars to watch people have sex for two whole minutes.”

“Worth it. The look on your face was priceless.”

“As if yours was any better.”

His cheeks turn red as he runs his hand over his face. “Well, it wasn’t what I was expecting. That’s for sure.”

As he hails us a taxi, I find myself laughing.

Yes, it was scary, but he’s right. It was memorable. I’ll never forget accidentally walking into a glory hole.

What makes it most memorable is him though.

The way he took care of me.

In that moment, I knew I was done.

I’ve fallen in love with my fake boyfriend.

* * *

What a shitshow that was.Yet I can’t regret it.

Sure, I never would have taken her to a glory hole had I known. Nor would I ever go to one.
