Leaning down, I scoop Alessa out of Izzy’s arms.
“Yes, take her why don’t you,” she deadpans.
“You see her more than I do.”
“That will be changing, won’t it?” Bash asks as he hands Killian and me both a drink.
“As long as you’re not a dick,” I say sweetly.
“Well, if you’re living here in the city, we will have to get to know each other better,” Sofia says.
“Shopping,” Izzy says wickedly.
“Only after Draco is born, otherwise, I’m out.”
“What are you out of?” Lo asks as he walks in with Matteo and another woman.
Lo leans down, kissing his wife.
“I told them I was out of shopping until after your son is born.” She smiles as she rubs her belly.
“Not too much longer.” The mystery woman smiles.
“Greer, Killian, I would like to introduce you to my better half, Ivy,” Matteo says as he takes a seat across from us, pulling the woman into his lap.
“Nice to meet you, Ivy,” I say.
“No hard feelings, O’Reilly?” Matteo raises a brow.
“No hard feelings. Just don’t let it happen again,” Killian says.
Bash wordlessly hands Matteo a drink and Ivy a water. “May I have everyone’s attention?”
Everyone quiets down and looks his way.
“Greer has requested to stay in New York and reside with Killian. After the way Killian so selflessly prepared to give his life for not only Greer, but the children of this family, I felt it only right to agree to this arrangement. The Westies will have an ally with the Catalinis as long as you treat my sister and my family right. We shall do the same for yours.”
My heart hammers in my chest. I didn’t ask Bash to stay, but I want to. I want to be with Killian. Bash winks at me. Is he saying what I think he’s saying? Are Killian and I actually going to have our shot?
Killian nods. “Thank you. I will. Your sister is my whole world.”
When Killian looks down at me, the love and adoration is clear in his eyes. I didn’t ask for this, but he did. He went to Bash and requested the right to pursue me.
Bash gives him a smile. “It’s been an interesting year, to say the least. Our family has grown, family bonds tested, and alliances forged. May everything only go up from here. If not, may we all fight the good fight together.”
“Salute,” everyone says in unison.
“Sláinte,” Killian says, making everyone pause.
“And may we rub off on the Irishman,” Gio quips making everyone laugh.
“Time will tell.” Killian shrugs with a small smile.
“I’m so excited for dinner tonight!” Sofia claps her hands together.
“What are we having?” Mia asks.
“We’re doing a play on soup and pasta. But instead of soup were doing an Irish stew, in honor of our newest family member. ThenNonnaRosa was making some fresh pasta dish.”
