I nod, “Okay. Thank you for telling me, Sully. I’m going to go and find Pete at some point, but I needed to hear what you knew first.”

“Pete?” Sully asks.

“Yeah, that’s what he called himself,” I reply and then add, “I take it that isn’t his name?”

Sully shakes his head, looking amused as he replies, “Not even close, his name is Bhaltair.”

I pull a face, “Okay, so really nothing like his actual name then.”

Sully shakes his head, “Nope.” He looks down at his watch and then frowns, “I’m really sorry, guys, but Draith is on his way over. He needed to talk to me before the pub opens. It would probably be best if you guys weren’t here when he turns up. If he sees Coen, then he will have no choice but to call him back to the Keep, and if he sees any of you, then by dragon law, you will be under obligation to bring Coen in.”

“Ah shit,” I curse as I stand up. “Yeah, let’s not risk that. We had a couple more things that we wanted to ask you.”

“If you can do it quickly, then ask away,” Sully replies, “or come and see me again.”

“Do you know if it’s normal for supernaturals to be able to hear a dragon’s thoughts when they’re flying with them?” Coen asks outright.

Sully’s expression fills with surprise, “Who can hear your thoughts?”

“Neith,” Coen replies.

“Huh,” Sully replies, his shock turning into confusion. “I’m not quite sure if I’m honest. As you know, the dragons don’t really share information. Not even when they’re drunk.”

I smirk, “You’ve tried to get information out of Draith when he’s been drunk, haven’t you?”

Sully pulls a face, “Of course I have.”

Coen shrugs, “Thanks anyway. I’ll just have to ask Draith when he calls me back to the Keep. It’s not like it’s a bad thing.”

Sully smiles, “I’ll ask him about it when he comes in if I get the chance, but I doubt that he will tell me anything.”

He stands up and holds his arms open for me, as he hugs me tightly, he mutters, “I am so fucking glad that you know who your parents are. I know we barely scratched the surface of who they are, but I can talk to you now, and that’s the main thing.”

“Thanks, Sully,” I reply as I step back. “To be honest, I’m not sure that I could have handled much more than that today. I mean, I was a part of a freaking prophecy, that’s insane.”

“There was that other one,” Griff reminds me.

“Oh shit. I had completely forgotten about that one. Did we even look into it?” I ask, my mind is frazzled, and I have no idea if we did or not.

Raiden shakes his head, “Nope. But I don’t think it needs to be a priority. I can’t remember it word for word, but I think it’s likely that it was referring to the Choosing. If something else happens, then we will obviously look back into it, but there are other things that need our attention more.”

“Agreed,” Evander says.

“I think that’s probably best. I know that Prophecies seem to be a big thing in the Earth Realm, but they were a daily occurrence in Trieneliea, and half of them never came to be. Like Raiden has said, unless another one pops up from somewhere, I wouldn’t worry about focusing on that one.” Sully agrees.

“Thanks again, Sully,” River replies.

Sully nods, his smile dropping into a frown, “You need to be careful. I spoke to Ahren, and his beta is asking a lot of questions. There is a chance that you’re going to get called to go there as well.”

“He’s a dick,” I mutter, and then clarify, “the Beta, not Ahren.”

“Yeah, he is, but just like the dragons, there are laws that the shifters have to abide by. Although the shifters follow them more loosely,” Sully replies.

River shrugs, not looking nearly as bothered as I think he should, as he says, “Honestly, it’s okay. I suspected that it might happen. If it does, I’ll deal with it.”

“We will,” Ransom reminds him.

River grins, “Exactly, we will.”
