Her usual afro was braided into two long braids. She was in fresh clothing. She didn’t feel the plug in her ass.
“Him need fi stop fuck mi so good so I can see when he does all these nice things,” Taeja said.
She wondered what Zain did for aftercare aside from standing in the shower and handing her everything she needed while silently watching her.
Damon always ran her a lavender bath. Sometimes, he’d crawl into the bath with her and give her long kisses until she fell asleep while he whispered how much he loved her.
She wondered if Zain was the same. He probably was a big softie beneath his whole tough-boy exterior.
Smiling at the thought, she crawled out of the bed and limped out of the room. There wasn’t anyone in the living room, but she heard laughing drifting from the veranda. She headed there.
Cassedi and Damon were talking and laughing while freeing gungo peas from their shells. Zain was walking in circles on the driveway, throwing a small ball at the pavement and catching it. He had his earbuds in.
“Hey, baby girl,” Cassedi said, and Damon looked in Taeja’s direction. “How areyou feeling?”
Taeja’s brows creased. “Huh?”
“We came back and saw you sleeping. Zain told me you didn’t feel well.”
Taeja blushed and looked away. She felt great, but she couldn’t tell Cassedi that. “I’m fine now.”
Cassedi smiled. “Okay, come sidung there so and help we shell dem peas here. Sister Pansy’s husband come back from bush, so dem seh mi fi come fi some. Damon followed me and we stayed longer than I planned.”
Damon chuckled as Taeja slowly sat beside him. “She told Sister Pansy what I did, so I was down there working on updating an old computer.”
Taeja’s mouth dropped. “What? That old core system could handle it?”
“Surprisingly. I had to run it through a lot of programs that could extract the files for the update, but you know me.” He winked.
Taeja bit her lip and looked away. If her mother wasn’t here, she’d tell Damon how much his flaunting his smarts made her pussy throb. He could really swoon her with his brain.
Cassedi, oblivious to their sly flirting, smiled. “Sister Pansy is very thankful. So thankful she tried pairing him with her daughter,” Cassedi said, and Taeja raised a brow, her tongue growing hot for this ‘Sister Pansy’. “But, baby girl, mi grab up Damon isi. Mi mek Sister Pansy know that is my son-in-law— Nuh my phone that a ring? Sorry mi deh.” Cassedi stood and hurried inside.
Damon dusted his hands off and threw an arm over Taeja’s shoulder. “I heard you had the time of your life.”
Taeja blushed, glancing at Zain, who was arguing with someone again. She looked back at Damon. “I’m sore, Damon. I can barely walk.”
“I’ll carry you on my back if you need me to. Just don’t fall off.” Damon burst out laughing.
Taeja gasped and punched him in the side. Damon held his side, tears coming to his eyes as he laughed.
“Yu know seh mi hate yu!”
“Like you hate this picture?” He pulled his phone out and showed her his lock screen, then started loudly laughing again.
Seeing a picture of her hanging upside down on the tree, Taeja glared. “Yu better hope nun embarrassing nuh happen to yu round me.”
Getting control of himself when Cassedi returned, Damon said, “That’s never going to happen.”
Cassedi sat on the chair she was in moments prior. “Baby girl, I hope you don’t mind, but some of our family is coming over here.”
“Why would I mind?” Taeja asked. “It’s your house.”
“I know, but everything happened suddenly. I wasn’t sure how you’d feel—”
Taeja smiled. “Cassedi, it’sfine. Do I know them?”
“You met two of them before, Wayne and Sakara, but you probably won’t remember Sakara. Then there’s ZsaZsa, that’s Sakara’s baby. You’ll love them,” Cassedi promised, and Taeja nodded.
