He wanted Taeja.
They both did.
Hence, when morning came, he didn’t even roll out of bed or check if he was actually alive before he dialed Taeja’s number.
She answered the phone with an attitude. “Who is this?”
“Good morning, sunshine,” he teased, smirking as her breath hitched.
“D-Damon?” Taeja stuttered.
“The one and only.”
Taeja huffed before hissing, “Wa yu want?”
“Ouch,” Damon said with a wince. “Not a morning person?”
“No. I’m a person who doesn’t like to be used,” she snapped, her tone laced with an emotion he couldn’t place.
His brows furrowed before he remembered how they ended the night. He sighed. “I’m sorry about last night, princess.”
Her breath hitched. Again. And his smirk stretched. The nicknames just kept rolling off his tongue. He imagined how, despite her attitude, she was blushing while listening to him.
“Yu flattery nago work pon mi right now,” Taeja said. “Do you call all your one-night stands the next day?”
“No,” he answered. “I called because we want to make it up to you.”
“We?”
“Me and my brother, baby.”
“I-I, um…”
So, this was the nickname she liked… Damon smirked.
“You can’t say no, baby. You’ll break my heart.”
“If you had a heart, you wouldn’t leave last night.”
“If I didn’t have a heart, would I try to make it up to you?”
Taeja huffed. “Fine. But I’m not giving in because you have a good point. I’m giving in because you owe me. The both of you.”
“What do we owe you?”
“Sex so good, I forget my name.”
Damon paused, shocked by her boldness. He felt his dick twitch in response to her brazen words. He loved a woman who knew exactly what she wanted. Maybe that was why he’d been so enraptured by her the moment she took thefirst step toward him.
“Send me your address,” he ordered. “I’ll pick you up in an hour.”
“Okay,” she replied.
“And, baby?”
“Y-yes?”
“Don’t make me wait.”
