Kirone Tyke!

Taeja screamed at the top of her lungs. Fangirling so hard, tears came to her eyes.

Now Taeja wished phones were allowed. She would’ve pulled her phone out and recorded this moment to treasure it forever!

The crowd screaming and singing at the top of their lungs drowned out the live band in the background, but it added to the experience.

“Who waa join mi on stage as mi drop a song preview?” Kirone asked, and feminine squeals erupted from the crowd. Because she was at the front of the crowd, Kirone saw Taeja. He smiled at her, and Taeja’s heart almost ripped through her chest. He curled a finger at her. “Come here.”

“Me?” Taeja pointed at herself.

“Yes, you!” Sakara squealed, pushing Taeja toward the stage. “Gwan, girl!”

Dazed, Taeja allowed her feet to bring her onto the stage. This was really happening? To her? She stopped before Kirone, her nerves running through herbody from being in the spotlight.

“Yaa move so shy?” Kirone teased.

“I’m not shy,” Taeja said, barely recognizing her voice.

“Prove it,” Kirone coaxed, his eyes darting to the bike before settling on her.

Taeja climbed onto the bike backward. Her back pressed against the handlebars as Kirone sat before her, looking between them as he slowly danced against her. He moved the mic to his mouth and began to sing an unreleased song, leaving Taeja’s senses in disarray as the sensual music filled the atmosphere. Kirone laid a hand on her waist, smirking as Taeja wrapped her legs around him. She pulled him closer while he moved his hips against her. Having the time of her life, she almost forgot where she was.

Until she felt it.

A specific pair of eyes on her.

She broke Kirone’s stare to look toward the crowd, spotting Zain making his way toward the stage.

Taeja quickly hopped off the bike. She hugged Kirone before running off the stage. She landed right in Zain’s hold. Without a word, he brought them to the back of the party.

Zain put the water in her hands, then crossed his arms. “I leave you alone for ten minutes and you’re on stage dancing on a random man?”

“Random?” Taeja scoffed. “That’s Kirone Tyke!”

“I don’t care who he is.”

Taeja sighed. “Sorry. I didn’t mean to make you angry. I was just having fun.”

Zain stared at her for a long moment. It made her worry until he finally spoke. “I’m not angry.”

“You’re not?” she asked, somewhat surprised.

“No. You looked good up there,” he said. “But Damon’s going to be angry. You know how he feels about—”

Taeja sighed, feeling bad now. “I’m sorry,” she mumbled.

“Let’s go,” he said, walking away.

“Where are we going?” Taeja asked, giving Kirone a longing glance before following behind Zain.

Zain slowed down, falling into stride with her. “For Damon. I went to the lockers and saw him blowing up my phone.”

Passing by some people having sex in the darkness, they went to where they parked Wayne’s minibus earlier in the day. Zain opened the door for her, and they had a silent journey to Merissa.

Taeja was a nervous wreck. She hoped Zain didn’t bring it up to Damon, and she was too afraid to ask him not to. She was the one who spoke about them not having secrets, so she couldn’t do that to him.

Parking before Merissa’s house, Taeja watched as Damon exited with her mother beside him. Taeja exited the car and stood before her mother. “Goodnight.”
