Nikolai made a rough sound of pure desire, holding him in place as Elliot started to spill in his mouth. Nikolai swallowed again and again and again, the breath catching in Elliot’s throat as he drifted through waves of pleasure just as intense as when Nikolai had had his fingers inside him.
It left Elliot in ruins. His body collapsed against Fezzik’s soft fur, lungs heaving. Nikolai pulled off and one of his hands fumbled downward, followed by the quick slick sound of stroking. Elliot floated in the satisfied haze of it, listening to Nikolai’s pleasure as he got himself off, in awe that Elliot could do that. That Elliot was the reason Nikolai was so affected.
At some point Elliot realized the vibrating inside him had stopped. When Nikolai caught his breath, he kissed Elliot’s shoulder, then carefully lifted Elliot’s hips to gently slide the cock out of him.
Cool air brushed Elliot’s sweaty skin. It was too difficult to open his eyes, so he didn’t.
“Elliot?” Nikolai’s soft voice floated in.
Elliot made a noncommittal sound of satisfaction. Nikolai chuckled and a soft kiss pressed against his temple.
“Rest,” Nikolai said, and Elliot thought that was the best idea he’d ever had. He couldn’t imagine moving.
Things drifted for a while. Dimly Elliot registered Nikolai leaving the bed, though he returned only a few moments later with a warm, wet cloth. He wiped Elliot down tenderly, then coaxed him under the covers and kissed his hair.
“Be right back,” Nikolai murmured, tucking Apricot into his arms. “Just need to take care of Fezzik. Okay?”
Elliot hummed and snuggled down with Apricot. “‘Kay.”
There was a low chuckle, and then the sound of Nikolai walking away from the bed.
Elliot stirred muzzily sometime later by the feeling of the bed shifting again, before an arm slid around his waist. He let out a happy sound. “Nikolai,” he sighed.
“I’m here,” Nikolai said quietly, breath tickling Elliot’s ear.
It was such a simple thing, but it pulled at the strings in his chest. Because that was the heart of things, wasn’t it? In all things, Nikolai washere. Here with Elliot, doing everything he could to show Elliot just how much he cared. Making Elliot feel safe and cherished—
And loved.
“Nikolai?” Elliot whispered in the dark.
Nikolai made a questioning sound.
“I love you.” It was freeing, how easy it was to say it. How brave it made Elliot feel. “Being with you, it just… it makes me really happy.”
Nikolai went still around him, his inhale loud in the quiet of the room.
“Love you too,” Nikolai said then, voice hoarse. “Love you very much, ?????. I’m glad I’m making you happy.”
Elliot nuzzled closer, heart bubbling over with happiness. “When you have time next, do you want to go on a real date with me?”
“Yes,” Nikolai said at once, giving Elliot a nice firm squeeze. “Tomorrow, maybe? I think tomorrow is good.”
Elliot giggled. This sweet man. “Aren’t you meeting with Gerard tomorrow?”
“No, is okay,” Nikolai said stubbornly. “Gerard, he already demote me from best friend, so is fine if this time I don’t meet with him.”
“How about we look over your schedule instead, and choose a good day,” Elliot tried, around another laugh. “Because if Gerard finds out you blew him off to go out with me, I might get demoted too.”
“Fine,” Nikolai grumbled before kissing Elliot’s hair. There was a moment’s pause. Then, “How about day after tomorrow?”
“As long as you’re free,” Elliot said, all over fond. “How about we go out to a nice dinner?”
“Your food is better than restaurant food,” Nikolai muttered.
Elliot snickered. “I mean, if you don’t want to take me out…”
Immediately the arm around him tightened, pulling him impossibly closer. “You want we should go out? We’ll go out,” Nikolai said quickly.
Elliot smiled against Nikolai’s chest. “I’ll pick somewhere you’ll like,” he promised, feeling free and happy and light. “By now I think I know your taste.”
