“So my plan worked?” A gorgeous woman pops her head out of the plane, and her hair catches the setting sun. For a second, I think her hair is on fire.

Casimir chuckles, tugging me closer to place a kiss on my head, “ I actually didn’t need to kidnap her and set fire to the evidence.”

She pouts, “Well, that’s lame. Fire is always fun. I’m Rory, by the way. It’s a pleasure to meet you.”

I laugh softly, “ You sound like Storm. It is a pleasure to meet you too, I’m Aneira, and this is my friend, Wilder,” I point to Wilder, who looks up from his phone with a dopey grin on his face and waves.

“Ah, another person in love. I recognize that look anywhere,” Rory jokes.

“Alright, let’s get this show on the road. I gotta see a lady about a bird,” she cackles and jumps into the plane.

“You have some interesting friends,” Wilder murmurs.

I laugh, “Oh, you have no idea.”

After we get off the plane, Wilder and I exchange numbers and promise to keep in contact before he jumps into a private car. I can’t lie; I want to meet the woman who has him all in knots. No pun intended seeing that he’s a human. But still, she sounds like she would fit right in with Storm and me.

Casimir grabs our bags, and we walk to a private car that Storm must have arranged if the sign on the back reading, ‘Tail-Waggin- Taxi’ is any indication. I roll my eyes, “Oh, I’m going to have the best fucking time coming up with shit to call her when we get home.”

Casimir lets out a low chuckle, deep and sensual, as we get into the car and pulls me onto his lap. His strong arms envelop me in a warm embrace, and I can feel him smiling against my cheek.

"I like the way that sounds," he muses. "We. Home."

I grin, allowing my body to melt into his. I curl up against him and sigh contentedly as I let my mind wander. Home. Together. Whether that time would be spent on his land or at the bookstore was yet to be seen, but I have a feeling he will make it work no matter what. It’s strange putting so much trust in Casimir, but as I let myself relax into his body, I realize it doesn’t matter. It feels right.

The car comes to a stop outside of Storm's house, and I glance up at Casimir in confusion. He shrugs with a warm smile that sends electricity through my veins, "I figured you'd want to see Storm."

My lips spread into a wide grin, and without warning, I lean forward to crash my lips onto his. Our mouths move together hungrily, and he deepens the kiss until we are both breathless—wolf trap.

Where was I again? Oh, Right. Storm. I shake my head to clear the lust.

I jump out of the car before we give the private driver a live porno and stomp to the door, Casimir's laughter following me like a mocking caress.

I push open the door, " Honey, I'm home! The store was out of milk. It took me a few weeks to get back!" I yell loudly with a cackle.

I walk through the house with a huff. She should have been at the front door to greet me and worship my furry paws.

I take a deep breath and follow my nose until it takes me to the backyard.

"Oh where, oh where, is my little pony? Oh, where, oh where can she be?" I sing softly to myself as I follow the sounds of soft neighs coming from the backyard.

"God, I hope they aren't humping in horse. I am not prepared to be traumatized," I whisper to Casimir, who is hot on my paws.

A deep, hearty laugh radiates from his lips, sending shivers of warmth through me. I pause and turn to drink in the way his handsome face lights up, his grey eyes crinkling with amusement. His neatly trimmed beard catches the sunlight streaming through the window, and I can't help but feel a surge of regret that I missed out on three weeks of his smile.

Feeling my guilt, his laughter fades away, and he pulls me into his arms, "Little Wolf, you're here with me now. We may not be able to get those days back, but that just means we have to stay up later to make it up," he kisses me lightly, and I laugh.

"That works for me; just extra steak, please. I’ll need it for all the cardio." I tease.

He growls lightly, and I pull out of his arms, trying to resist the urge to jump into bed and lose myself in him.

Focus, I think to myself as I turn on my heel, and I make my way through to the kitchen, to the large French doors that lead outside.

My mouth gapes open and I let out a peel of laughter. Gasping, I manage to get out, “What in the My Little Pony is going on here?”

There is a huge chestnut shire prancing around with a smaller chestnut that has a star on its forehead. Although huge was putting it lightly, I have to wonder if they were injecting this horse with some type of pony steroid. I laugh as they take turns lunging towards each other, the smaller chestnut squealing while it strikes its front hooves out.

“Looks like we've found Storm,” Cas chuckles, pulling my back against his firm chest and wrapping his arms around my middle. “And she’s managed to shift too. A chestnut mare, why doesn’t that surprise me?”
