“Well, shit, they take the Shadow name a little too seriously, huh?” I muttered.
“Well, I guess we wouldn’t live up to the name if the building wasn’t at least black, I voted for all black dorms and buildings, but got shot down for the fifth time. I’m starting to think they don’t value my opinion,” said a familiar voice behind us. We turned around and looked up,goodness gracious, did Thor realize he was missing? Because something told me he didn’t realize he was.
I smiled at the pleasant surprise. “I guess it would be pretty morbid in that case. I mean we don’t train demons,” I quipped.
“Don’t we though?” he responded and frowned, turning his head.
“Baby which club are we going to again?” I heard Pixie ask from the bathroom, while I tugged on a black dress to go with my purple spiked heels.
“Mirage! It’s on the edge of the border, it’s supposed to be a new club where all shifters, magick users and others are on neutral ground.” I turned around to find her behind me, full makeup on with no towel. I groaned and bit my lip avoiding the clear distraction and walked around her, leaving her to laugh at my reaction, to finish my own makeup.
“Sounds like trouble waiting to happen,” she joked after a few moments, walking into the bathroom with tight black leather pants, red heels, and a halter top begging to be tugged off so I could wrap my lips around her nipples. Judging by the spark in the eye, she knew where my train of thought went as well.
“You’re going to be the death of me,” I muttered wrapping my arms around her and leaning on the door frame of the bathroom.
“Possibly, but damn, it would be a good way to go.” She winked, pressing her lips against mine. We let our hands roam, our kissing becoming more feverish before we broke apart, catching our breaths.
“Damn, I love you.” I ran my hand across her face.
“Right back at you babe, now let’s go.”
We made our way out of the penthouse and headed to the garage, nodding at our security guard. Foregoing our usual rides, our amazing bikes, we jumped into a sleek black beauty we called midnight and peeled out of garage, making our way to the Club.
About thirty minutes into our ride, ten minutes of those in complete darkness other than our headlights, we drove up to a club made completely of black glass with a line around the block. There were waitresses outside, taking drink orders, and even everyone outside looked like they were having a good time.
I let out a long whistle. “Well, that’s smart, make money from the wait,” I said as we admired the building.
“Who owns this club anyway?” Pixie asked.
“Remember I mentioned that a client I have been working with for a while, has several businesses and recently starting getting into the nightclub scene and asked me to do all the security measures for the club?” I paused as she nodded.
“Well, she asked me to come by when we had a chance and here we are.” I informed her, bringing my car to valet and getting out of Midnight. I walked around the car to meet Pixie who was helped out by a Vampire. I smiled, grabbed her hand, and made our way to the front of the line.
“This is beautiful,” Pixie murmured.
“Thank you, this really has been quite a success and I owe it all to Charlie,” a deep, melodic, sultry voice spoke, and despite the noise, it reached us effortlessly.
“Alessandra, it’s a pleasure to see you again.” I gave her a hug, admiring her lush curves in her all-black leather attire, her hair swept up to show her neck and a beautiful red amulet, she once told me it was a family heirloom.
“This is my bonded, Pixie.” I smiled, and Pixie reached out to give her a hug as well, a show of trust among vampires.
“Ah yes, I have heard a lot about you. Come, come, let’s head inside. I have a VIP area for my most trusted guests.” Alessandra smiled warmly leading us inside.
I whistled low, the club was at top of the line in all aspects. Leather booths, multiple floors with what looked like bars that spanned wall-to-wall on three sides of the room, and incredible aerial performers dancing to their own sensual beat.
“Shit, can I move in here?” Pixie joked and Alessandra responded with a deep chuckle, her hips swaying as she led us to a VIP room with its own bar and servers.
“This is just the bare minimum, I will have to give you the full tour later. Here we are.” She gestured to a red velvet booth with a ridiculously handsome guy seated at the end, looking at his phone. “I’ll be back shortly, I like to do my rounds but this seated here is Drew, he is one of my…most trusted advisors,” She trailed off and winked, taking her leave.
“Ahh, two beautiful females to keep me and my friends company.” His deep timbre smoothly enraptured us.
“Holy wow, you’re like Thor’s doppelgänger,” Pixie whispered, and he chuckled in response.
“I have to agree with that.” I moved into the booth, my hand on Pixie’s back as she sat down next to me. We signaled the waitress for a drink and settled into the booth, making small talk.
“Trainer for the Elite Shadow Guard, huh?” I exchanged a small smile with Pixie. “Impressive.” I sipped my drink.
