Shocked gasps broke out across the room, and Luca’s head snapped up.

“My fortune is my family's legacy. I invested. I learned to fight. I learned to hack and encrypt. I learned to love again,” I said softly, looking over Pixie's face, taking in the soft features and my heart grew. “But I never thirsted for revenge, this isn’t about that. I have accepted my parents’ death. I just won’t accept that someone got away with it by hiding information. I want the information and I want the murderer or murderers brought to justice in front of his people that is all. Revenge is trivial, it gets in the way of clear thinking and logical results. I just want to know,” I finished.

It was quiet for a few moments. It was nice, telling people about me. Then, hurricane Luca came.

Luca finally spoke up, “You know my power is to pick up on powers, and yet I could never get a proper read. You’ve shown Air, Fire, Water, Speed, and Strength. That’s just fucking insane and unheard of. So my question is, what powers do you have?”

I stood up, stretched, grabbed Pixie's hand to head into the—Bang Bro’s Room? Fuck, I really needed a name for that shit. I made eye contact with each and every one of them, and finished with Luca. Just our eyes caused purple sparks to crackle. Fuck.

“All of them.”

As Ellieand Pixie walked away, my heart clenched in my chest. Even though, logically, I knew they were a few feet away, I hated not being able to see them. Fuck, I rubbed a hand down my face. All of them. Those words kept bouncing around in my head. I knew she was someone special, magickally, but fuck, bombshell after bombshell, just made my head spin.

I looked up and realized the boys must all be thinking the same thing. “What do we do, boys?” I refuse to break or deny the bond, fuck, when she said those words, I just felt like my heart was ripped out of my chest.

Dante stretched out his legs in front of him. “Well I’m not giving them up, sorry, boys. Chicks before dicks.”

Etienne laughed. “I’m sure it is the other way but I will have to agree we cannot just deny it. Not everyone is lucky enough to bond once, but to bond twice, to a bonded pair? That has to be something special.”

“Everything about them is special. Amazing, even, there is no way we can possibly deny this bond, and I don’t think they really want to either, Pixie looked sad, and Ellie is just… difficult, too analytical sometimes,” Dimitri added.

“So we issue them an invitation,” I said and held my hand up to stop the arguments. “They are two of the most powerful magicks we have met and they sure as fuck are the strongest fighters, if anything, we could stand to learn from them.” I chuckled.

“How do we stop the bond from showing? This shit isn’t exactly normal. They won't see gold, they will see purple, it will paint a target on their back and while I’m sure they can take on the world, being noticed by the Council won’t be a good thing, no matter how powerful they are.We have suspected corruption in their ranks but the murder of the Elimentis was the biggest news in our time, Ellie’s information puts things in perspective.” Dante leaned over and put his head in his hands.

“You all know the lore as well as I do, purple sparks is the strongest bond anyone can possibly manifest, it means a melding of power and minds, not just souls as is typical. This hasn’t happened in several hundred years and even then, it was considered a myth. No, this is the best way to protect our girls. We need to accept the bond and we need to accept it tonight,” I say with finality.

“Let’s go take a shower and then talk to them.”

We all get up and head to the same rooms from last night. When she said bedroom, I expected a small room with a regular shower. No, this room was huge, floor-to-ceiling windows, a king-size bed so soft, I was so pissed when I had to wake up. Even so, nothing compared to the bathroom. There was a glass shower with aromatherapy and jets coming off the side and rain effect from above. The bathroom was more masculine, with grays and blacks but still felt open instead of the darker colors, making the room feel smaller. I took a quick shower and threw on some fresh gray sweats and underwear from the dresser. I skipped the shirt. I did throw on a pair of fluffy socks though. Because, I mean, fluffy socks.

I stepped out of my room the same moment the boys did and we walked over to the girls’ shared room. The door had been left open, purposefully, I’m sure. Probably Pixie, she’s going to be the balance, I can feel it. I knocked but there was no answer.

There was music coming from the room, and it sounded like “Motivation” by Kelly Rowland, so I’m sure she just couldn’t hear us. Taking the open door as an invitation, we walked in. And we froze. Fuck.

Pixieand I relaxed in the jacuzzi for a bit and then threw on some underwear and a bra, and called it a day. We will talk to the boys in a few. Right now, I needed to get some energy out. Pixie and I turned on our sex playlist and started dancing around the room and sneaking kisses. Then “Motivation” came up and we fell into the tempo as we made our way to the poles in our room and climbed up and started doing a routine we learned on YouTube. We turned upside down and let our legs open slowly. Suddenly, I felt the door open but just kept going. We wrapped our legs around the pole at the same time and slid down into a split and bounced just enough to make our asses jiggle. It cheered me up to be such a sensual fan-fucking-tastic beast.

I turned around to face four shirtless, muscled men with gray sweats on. Fuck, gray sweats should be illegal. But I liked what I saw, and one look at Pixie, I knew she did too.

I cleared my throat. “Gentlemen, what’s up? And I don’t mean the obvious.” I smirked.

Dante spoke first, “I would ask you to cover up but I’m sure you won’t, so I’ll try to keep eye contact here. We want to extend the invitations for the recruitment but…”

“But?” Pixie prompted.

He sighed, and Etienne stepped further into the room. “Ladies, bonding is not something that happens often and I...wedo not want to give the chance for that up.” He emphasized the ‘we,’ and looked at the guys. I looked at Pixie and we sat down on the bed, putting a pillow on our laps while the guys said their piece.

“When it does happen”—Luca stepped in—“a regular bonding only has gold sparks but still does its job and connects the souls, melding magick and heart rhythms.” He looked wistful when speaking, and my heart started pounding in my chest.
