“I think they generally hang at the cemetery, you know, at the grave of Voldemort’s dad,” Remi spoke up happily.

“Ah yes, bones of my father unwillingly taken and all that. Fucking Death Eaters.” I nodded calmly.

“Fuck this.” Trish reached around to grab my tray. Horrible mistake, really. I mean, we clearly warned her; we even tried to be nice, I think. I quickly turned, grabbed her arm, pulled it behind her, and smashed her head into the table. It got quiet then.

“What? Not going to defend your friend?” I looked at her group, then at her boyfriend. “Derrick? What about you? Not going to stand up for her now?”

“I don’t know. I mean, I should. But there is something about a gorgeous girl pinning another girl beneath her that does it for me.” He winked and took a bite of his food. Pig. Trish growled and bucked underneath me, but I laughed.

“Yeah, not that easy. You’ll actually need some skill,” I joked. Remi, Jensi, and Luca shake their heads with a smile.

Suddenly, Professor Blair walked up to the table as Trish screeched that I was going to pay or some stupid shit like that. Shut the fuck up, slyther-whore.

“Hudson, want to explain why you are holding a student down on the dining room table?” Blaire asked calmly.

I blinked and looked at him with my head turned to the side. “Because killing her would be frowned upon?”

Remi busted out laughing, Luca choked on his juice, and Jensi had to hit his back. Blair shook his head, a frown on his face but laughter in his eyes.

“Hudson, please, let her go. You’re making a scene,” he said as he looked around, prompting me to look and see the guys also staring at my direction, texting furiously. I’m sure I would have a shit ton of messages in a few moments.

I pouted. “Fine, I shall let her live, but she should know that Voldemort died in the end.” I released her and grabbed my things to go. Class was going to start soon. Derrick and his friends’ eyes laser focus on me now that I’m standing up. Xena stood up and swiped Trish’s tray off the table and roared furiously. I laughed at her reaction and rolled my eyes.

We started walking out of the dining room with Remi linking with my elbow, and Luca and Jensi bringing up the rear. I guess I have my own posse now. See? I’m a big kid now! Professor Blaire saw us out, and stood closely as he watched us leave “Yes, well, be that as it may, Ms. Jacobs,” his eyes twinkling, “they did kill Sirius Black,” he said with a straight face. I burst out laughing, drawing the eyes of the students near us.

“Professor, you’re not giving me much incentive to stay away.” I wagged my finger jokingly.

He shrugged. “High society was never my forte, neither were the pretenders. Some of them need to be knocked down a peg, and I think you’ll be the one to do it. Just try to not draw too much attention to yourself. Although, I have a strong feeling it was too late for that the moment you graced these halls.” Xena growled, deep in her throat.

Bad man smells evil.

At that, Blair walked off, and I stared after him. Luca whistled and Jensi looked at Blair with a frown.

“He was definitely flirting with you there, Hudson,” said Luca with a low whisper.

“Yeah, I’m not sure I like it, really,” added Jensi. “Not like that. I mean, he kind of gives me the creeps. Always did. Spends more time tutoring the female students than any of the other professors here.”

I frowned, was he flirting with me? Remi was also frowning.

“Hmm, yeah, I think he was. Well, I guess there is only one thing left to do.” Remi smiled.

“What would that be?” I asked. She leaned in close to me and bit my ear. “Show them you’re mine. I’m willing to share with Hunter, Ryder, Grayson, and Zane, but everyone else will learn to back off,” she said with a smirk and gave me a peck on my lips, and I laughed as we started walking in the direction of the classrooms.

“Jensi, Luca, what’s your schedule like?” Remi asked, hers in her hand. Jensi passed her his and she passed him hers.

“This is a senior schedule,” Luca said, looking over to the paper in Jensi’s hand.

“Yup, we’re in the accelerated course,” Remi explained. They continued to chat as I pulled my phone from my jacket, tuning them out.

HUNTER-Who are those boys?

GRAYSON-I punched two people already, I would rather not punch more.

HUNTER-How do you not feel your phone vibrating? ??

I rolled my eyes at the earlier messages and ignored them. Charming. They are willing to play four dick hockey, but get jealous if I try to make guy friends. Yeah, I won't dignify that shit with a response.

ZANE- It’s only been forty-five minutes. How could you have possibly needed to be escorted out the dining room already???
