"Nine, and it's two hours long, so she'll be back before midnight."

"Okay. We'll decide at eight-thirty."

"YES!" LuAnn says with a fist bump.

I take a seat next to Jenny and tell her as she reaches to hold my hand. "They're plotting a bachelorette party to a male revue strip show."

"No." She says firmly. "If they want to go watch naked men flex their 'roid muscles, grind their empty pollywogs for a bunch of horny women who will try to shake it like a stick, they can go without me. I do not want that to be the last memory of my single life."

The look she gives me makes me burst out laughing, and she joins me.

Blaze

When I enter the hotel, I scan the lobby for Breezy, but she isn't here. Not that I expected her to be, but it's been two hours, and my mind has been filled with her. What's she doing? Who's she talking to? Is Cain, Sonny, or Jake hitting on her? Of course, they are. How's she handling that? She thought her casual black slacks and comfy shirt weren't too 'dressy' for the rehearsal because Jenny specifically said casual/comfy for the attire. But she looked like a confident woman who hid fire inside. But then again, maybe I see that because I know her.

I walk straight back to the conference room where the rehearsal is being held. When I grab the doorknob, I remind myself of Breezy's lecture on the way into town earlier. "Don't make eye contact with me. If you do, look away quickly. Keep your eyes focused on Brandon and Jenny. Don't walk up to them if I'm standing there. We don't want to talk in front of them. We could slip up."

"You do remember I'm walking you down the aisle?"

"I do, and I'm worried about it."

"Don't rub your tit on my arm, then. I'll get a damn boner from hell and blow it."

She laughed. "Point taken." Then she asked, "I don't know the groomsmen, do you?"

"Yeah, they're college buddies of Brandon's. They're good guys. But don't flirt with them."

She smiled, "Don't worry. I won't. Don't you flirt with the bridesmaids. I know them, and they aren't good girls."

I gave her a shrug, "I won't instigate it. But I can't be rude. I have a reputation as a bad boy."

"God," she rolled her eyes upward, "Please don't let them flirt with him."

"We could just let everyone know tonight."

"No. After the wedding."

"Okay, Summertime. But don't get mad. Girls can be grabby after a few drinks."

She sighed. "This is going to be hell, isn't it?"

"Yep."

I turn the knob and pull the door open. The sound of friends chatting and laughing hit me first. I quickly scan the room for Breezy and spot her in the rear with Jenny. Brandon is talking with an older man who must be the officiant to my right. Everyone else is grouped up at my left.

When I step in, everyone goes quiet and looks at me. I know my massive-size commands attention when I enter a room, but this feels awkward. I turn around and pull the door closed.

Summer

When Blaze stepped into the room, he literally stopped time. Everyone is gawking at him as he closes the door.

Why? Because he is looking mighty damn fine in a pair of faded blue jeans, a simple solid blue t-shirt and a Rockies ball cap. He makes other men evaluate their alpha position in the group, and they know they don't measure up. It's not his big frame alone that commands the repositioning, it's the passive-aggressive attitude. He's tame at the moment, but don't trigger him.

When he turns around and gives us all his million-dollar smile, my panties aren't the only ones that melt away.

Jenny reaches out and squeezes my arm. "He's here," she says, cutting her eyes at me and then taking off to greet him.

Watching him bend down to hug her and then wrap Brandon up in a bro hug makes my heart melt. The four of us have always been the best of friends. There is no reason to believe Jenny won't be happy that Blaze and I are together.
