Mookie Duke finishes, and Blaze shuts him in the stall. "Nap time," he winks at me.
God, Blaze is soooo cute!
Blaze
Breezy climbs into the cab of the truck and shuts the door. She grins, then leans over and puckers up, "To hold me over until tonight."
Her happiness radiates from her and fills my soul. I feel like the teenage kid who crushed on her beauty again. But the man I've become desires more than a peck. One hand cups her tit, and the other slides behind her head and holds her close for my tongue thrust. When I let her go, I smile at her expression. "A peck won't hold me over, babe."
She flirts as she sits back and adjusts her tit in her bra. "Go! I'm in a hurry now to get back."
Laughing, I gun it, slinging gravel.
On the way out, she says, "You know, that sign about shooting trespassers has to be covered up."
I nod. "I'll take care of it."
She turns to look out over the pasture where Mookie Duke and I run; then she turns to look at me with a 'what-the-fuck' face. "Why aren't you playing ball?"
"Injury."
"What kind of injury?" She glances over my body, knowing she didn't notice one.
"Thumb." I hold it up and show her. "Sprained it laying a tag down at home. Team doctors prescribed rest, then reevaluation after six weeks."
"Oh, when was that?" She frowns.
"Three weeks ago."
"Hmm. How does it feel?"
"Sore when I overdo it."
"Shouldn't you have a brace on?"
"Yeah, but it's too bulky, and I keep catching it on shit in the barn."
"But if it doesn't heal…."
"Then it doesn't heal." I shrug. Her big eyes show her shock at my nonchalant response.
"But then you can't play baseball." Her concern is sweet.
"I don'tplaybaseball now. It's my job."
"Of course," she says, studying me. "But you would lose your job."
I shrug again. "It is what it is."
Her lips press together, then she offers, "I can drive if you need me to."
I laugh, "No way. I remember the last time you were behind the wheel, and I was a passenger."
She rolls her eyes. "Will I ever live that down?"
"NO. You nearly killed us all because a deer was eating grass on the side of the road."
"But I thought it was going to jump out."
