She cuts her eyes at me. “But I thought you two were….”

“Not back then.”

I smile as he breaks free of the crowd and stands glaring at me ten feet away. His eyes are devouring me, knowing I’m bare down there.

“You tell me.”

She clinks my drink with hers. “Now is all that matters, girl. You grab that bull by the balls.”
