She snorts. “No. Go spend time with your brother. You’ve had enough orgasms one almost nineteen-year-old needs.”
Fact, I always need more.
But she’s right, one more week and I’m the official one-nine.
Maybe then she’ll be seen with me in public and not duck down in my car every few miles.
Sidling up to her, I love her size—petite and curvy. My hand winds around her waist, squeezing a little before dipping into the back of her shorts to hold a supple ass cheek.
I love this boyfriend shit.
Not even gonna lie. I didn’t think I would, but I get off on touching her, holding her, watching her watch the TV or the way she nibbles nuts. Sadly, not my nuts. Didn’t think I’d enjoy fixing shit in her house but there I was yesterday under the sink stopping a leak, after calling my dad to ask what the fuck I do, and after listening to him laughing his ass off, he talked me through it.
“What are you gonna do today? Besides miss me and blow up my phone with pussy pics.”
“Firstly, never gonna happen. And I’m heading to the bank to sort out a problem for my brother.”
I frown. “What kind of problem? And why isn’t he doing it himself? He doesn’t even live here.”
I know very little about her elder brother, she seems to love her family and talks to them often, but why isn’t a forty-year-old dude seeing to his own shit? “Are you lending him money?”
She looks away, walking around me, placing her breakfast on the table. “It’s just a small loan.”
My radar for bullshitting engages.
“Is it the first loan you’ve given him?”
“Lachlan, it’s fine, really.”
Yeah, fine, right.
I kiss her on the side of the neck and go to grab a shower. I’m picking Sage up in an hour to spend some one on one with the little Brainiac before college starts, and he has some weird geeky OCD about being punctual or he freaks the fuck out.
But my mind is on Laney’s brother and how much he’s fleecing out of my girl.
“You realize I’m too old for laser tag.”
“Excuse the fuck out of me, Einstein, but this is what we normal people call fun. Not inventing the wheel or some shit like that.”
Sage smirks and grabs up the last beef slider from the huge platter we’ve shared between us. Sage is two years younger than me, coming up seventeen just days after my birthday. He’s a younger clone of me and Theo in looks, our quiet thinker and always the diplomat when arguments break out, but he’s closer to Raene, the baby of the family. Probably because Theo and I are always out of the house.
“Did mom make you bring me?”
“Yeah, she nearly broke my arm off.”
“Oh, fuck off.” He laughs.
“I wanted to spend some time with you, kid. My girl has kept me busy, so I haven’t been home.”
“You have a girl?”
“Yep. You can meet her soon.”
He scrunches up his nose. “Not if she’s anything like that one who tried to climb into my bed thinking it was yours. I had nightmares of those panties rubbing on my leg.”
I burst out laughing, remembering the time at our lake house last year. I met a girl, she climbed into the wrong bedroom window. I don’t think Sage has ever felt a pussy before, hers must have scarred him for life.
“You got your eye on a guy yet?”
