She’s smart, with a dry sarcastic wit and sexy as hell. My veins are juiced.

I couldn’t have designed her better myself for the ideal woman.

Delaney Sloanisgoing to be mine.

Lachlan

“You must have a screw loose, Lachie, this is even out there for you, and you’ve done some wild shit in the past.” My eldest brother, Theo, laughs over video chat. “You don’t fuck with a teacher.”

“Too late, now I just want a repeat.”

My Delaney dilemma came up in conversation after I dealt with the reason Theo called. He knows a guy who knows a guy at Clemson university who needs a quick fix before he fails economics and is kicked off the football team.

While I confess to Theo all about my hook-up, I work on my untraceable notebook computer and get the guy the test answers.

A fast thousand bucks later, not bad for ten minutes of hacking.

“What you gonna do? Or should I say, what’s the smart thing to do?”

“We both know I’m not smart.”

Nah, I’m a certified genius, but Delaney has me thinking with something other than my brain.

I’m acting on instinct and pure animalistic need to claim her.

It doesn’t go unnoticed how the little mouse and her pretty face and rocking body have the male members of faculty panting after her either. I watched her from a distance yesterday down the hall while a social studies teacher, Mister dickhead Matthews flirted with her. I was only waiting for the second he tried to touch her before I broke his bones. I guess it’s lucky he didn’t.

“The smart thing to do is leave her alone, Lachie. This is her job, her life.”

“Don’t be such a fucking square,” I grumble, kicking my legs up on the side of my bed. Boxes are packed over in the corner ready to be shipped to Boston. I’m so ready to start the next stage of my life, but now this new diversion has my mouth wet, and my head distracted. “She wants me.”

Theo chuckles, throwing a ball up in the air, he catches and repeats.

He sustained some damage to his throwing arm, and it’s looking like he won’t go to the NFL as planned this year, that shit will kill my brother, it’s all he’s ever wanted.

Me, I’m flexible. I got it in my head to be a Fed just because I love all that covert spy shit. Nothing Mulder and Scully from that old TV show. I want to be one of the computer nerds who do all the intricate work so the field agents can do theirs. My skills aren’t lacking, but sometimes my motivation lets my down. As Theo pointed out, I don’t always make the smart choices.

But if that doesn’t work out for me, there’s a million other ways I can use my brain to earn me a fortune. Theo has one path and one path alone. I figure my brother is gonna be disappointed as hell one day.

“She could lose her job, brother, all because you’re a horny fucker.”

I am.

But so is she.

“I won’t let anything happen to her.”

It’s more than just being horny.

So much more than I can explain, and I usually have the answers and solutions for everything.

I’m literally working on untainted instinct with Laney.

“If your level of noise back there is implication that the curriculum is too easy for you, Mister Fierro, then I suggest you not waste my time so I can assign your place to a student who actually wants to be in this class.” Steam is practically oozing out of my livid eyeballs when I have to stop class for the third time that hour to address Lachlan’s assery for not paying attention.
