“Thank you. You look very handsome as well.”
Scintillating conversation so far. I see this guy as a real winner...not.
“I’m glad you think so. I have never had a woman complain when I show up. I’ve been told I’m better than handsome.”
I roll my eyes because I hadn’t heard ego like that in a while.
“Right. So, you said you’re in finance?” Addison asks.
“I am, but we don’t have to talk about all that mundane shit.”
How the hell is finding out what you do for a living mundane? That’s called small talk, asshole.
Where the hell is Addison finding these guys to date? Also, if this is what is out there, I’m just fine on my own.
“Oh? What would you rather talk about?”
“I’ve found most women really don’t care about the small stuff. It’s more important things that matter. Things that you are really curious about.”
I turn my head a bit more. While I’ve been out of the game a long time, I’m not sure where the hell this is going.
“Things like?”
“Marriage, goals, how many homes I have?”
“You have multiple?” Addison asks.
Dan chuckles. “I do. I have a house in Philly, one in New York, and then I own property in the Keys.”
Addison goes silent for a moment. “That seems...ambitious.”
“Real estate is always a good investment. Anyway, I like nice things and nice-looking things...”
The way he trails off has me picturing a complete douchebag who is leering at Addison, clearly stating she’s one of those things.
“I...yes, I guess most of us do.”
“So, Addison, let’s talk about the things women always want to know,” his voice is low and attempting to be seductive.
Although, to me he sounds more like a stalker.
So yeah, totally winning there, Dannyboy.
“Well, I’m curious what you mean by that.”
The guy chuckles. “Are you?”
She just said she was, Dan.
“Please, tell me what women really want to know,” Addison suggests, and I can picture her leaning back, hands together on the table or in her lap.
Her date’s voice drops a little and I have to strain to hear it. “You want to know if we’ll be compatible elsewhere...if I can do all the things to make you scream my name.” Silence on her part. He continues on. “I can. I’m not boasting, but every girl I’ve fucked has been satisfied, so you can relax, eat, and then we’ll go back to my hotel and I’ll prove it.”
What the actual fuck?
“I’m sorry, but I think you have the wrong idea. I said I’m looking for a relationship,” Addison says with a slight shake to her voice.
“No, you said you wanted to date and have fun.”
