“While the idea of coming over here is incredibly appealing, I have to work with the horses tomorrow and I promised Jett I’d take him riding. Not to mention, you need sleep since neither of us got any of that last night.”

“You’re right.”

“Besides, we have next weekend in Oregon where I plan to fuck you six ways till Sunday.”

Addison wiggles her brows. “I like the sound of that.”

“I like the sounds you make when I’m inside you.”

“I like those too.”

I shake my head with a chuckle. “Get in the house, dove.”

She walks up the steps, stopping at the door, and turns. “Grady?”

“Yes?”

“If you change your mind about tonight, the key is back under the second stone. I wouldn’t mind if you used it.”

I take the stairs two at a time, standing in front of her half a heartbeat after she uttered the last word. “I want you to climb into bed tonight naked and fall asleep anxious for when I might show, so I wake you up with my tongue buried inside your sweet pussy.”

She lets out a soft moan as she pulls my head to hers. “I think I like this new arrangement.”

“I know I do.” I kiss her, knowing our insane town is watching somewhere. “I’ll see you tonight.”

ADDISON

There is something to be said about anticipation and it’s not good.

It’s absolute torture.

Since he dropped me off, I have been nothing but a ball of nerves. I want to talk to someone. I need to talk to someone, which is why, once again, I find myself in the side by side with some ridiculous excuse of needing to bring Brenna her sweater.

Which is actually my sweater.

We pull up to the house and Elodie is already trying to open the door before we stop. She loves Jacob, Brenna’s husband. She tells everyone how much she loves him and she wants to marry him.

When she sees him, she squeals, and he scoops her up. Since I’ve been here, they’ve become our family. They’ve welcomed us in and filled the loss we’ve felt from leaving our home in Oregon.

“Hello, my favorite Elodie,” Jacob says and kisses her temple. “You look beautiful.”

She blushes and Brenna rolls her eyes. “I swear, kids love him.”

“Don’t forget the old ladies too. They all like to watch me walk by and make comments about my butt.”

I laugh. “Oh, Jacob, you used to be admired by the women my age too, we all thought, oh that Jacob Arrowood, he’s so hot. Now we’re like, man, he got old.”

He glares at me and his wife bursts out laughing. Jacob is still incredibly good looking, but it’s so much fun to watch him get squirrely about aging.

Brenna hooks her arm in mine. “Did I tell you his agent called and wants him to take a role where he’d play an aging actor who can’t get hired anymore?”

This is too good. “No? I didn’t hear. So it’s an autobiography?”

“If I didn’t have Elodie in my arms, you’d both be in trouble.”

Brenna looks back at her husband from over her shoulder. “Why do you think we’re saying it?”
