“I’d love to see how you would’ve handled it,” Emmett replies.

“My point is that you don’t get to give me shit, buddy.”

Spencer enters the fray. “What are we arguing about?”

Blake chimes in. “Holden asked me for help on investigating something, and Emmett is butthurt he didn’t ask him.”

“I did ask him!” I yell while glaring at her husband. “I went to him about it the first time, then the second, and now, I’m asking Blakely since he’s unwilling to help.”

“What was this one?” Spencer asks.

I hand him the card, and he reads it before giving it to Blake.

“‘Your package is arriving, and you need to pick it up.’ What do you think it means?”

“Maybe it’s a bomb,” Brie unhelpfully suggests.

Emmett chuckles. “Or maybe it’s his mail-order bride.”

Oh, he’s in trouble now. His wife is shooting daggers at him. “Not funny, considering where we’re standing.”

They continue to bicker, and then Spencer jumps in. He has the most analytical mind out of all of us. He solves puzzles in a way that I wish I could. Send me a bleeding person, I’ll fix them. Send me someone with some weird rash, I got it, but when it comes to this shit . . . nope.

That’s all him.

“All three came with postcards from the Vegas area,” he says.

“We know you boys and your love of Vegas.” Brie scoffs.

“No one loves Vegas. We survived Vegas,” Emmett says.

Ain’t that the damn truth.

After the hell we raised in Vegas, I was shocked Addison didn’t call off her engagement to Isaac.

I fucking miss him.

He was the best man I knew. Always willing to help someone out and never wanted anything in return. His bachelor party was the most epic send-off and landed us in a lot of hot water, but it was worth it in the end.

“Did anyone ever think that we took the fall for some of the shit Isaac did?” Emmett asks Brielle.

“No, but from what I heard, youwere the worst of them.”

Spencer grins. “You were. Admit it.”

“I don’t remember shit.”

Emmett’s full of it. He remembers. I’m the one with giant holes of time missing and stories I’m not sure are even true.

“Focus, fuckers. I’m the one who doesn’t remember anything about Vegas. I blacked out.”

Emmett laughs. “Yeah, we found you with your dick out in that bathroom.”

Spencer nods. “Thewomen’sbathroom.”

There are some things I will never live down. We drank too much. We didn’t eat. We fucked up, and apparently, I fucked some girl in a bathroom at a club.

Blakely walks over to Emmett. “I can’t wait to hear your part in this.”
