“I’m good.” He sighs as he buries his face in Emilia’s neck. “How long until they kick in?”
“They should kick in within an hour. It might take a few doses for you to begin to feel like yourself again.” I offer him a smile.
“Thank you, Ian.” Emilia leans forward to pull me into a hug. “I already thought you were amazing, but now I’m sure of it. You didn’t have to do this for him, but you did. You’re a good man.”
When her lips brush against mine, I’m so shocked, I’m not able to respond. She’s grinning when she leans back, snuggling into Camden once more. “You’ve definitely earned that solo date now.”
Camden chuckles. “More than. You’ll have to thank him properly later—especially if this works.”
I flush, clearing my throat as I stand. “I just did what anyone would do.”
“We both know that’s not true.” Wilder holds his hand out, and I shake it. “Thank you. Even if it doesn’t work, thank you for trying.”
“Of course.” I’m usually not this awkward, but right now, I can’t seem to think about anything beyond the brush of Emilia’s lips against mine. Of how right she looks curled up with Camden. About what it would be like to be pressed between the two of them, and my cock pulses in my pants.
Yup, it’s time for me to get out of here.
I definitely don’t need to flash them all my erection.
“I think I’m going to grab a drink.” I hurry away, letting out a sigh of relief. I don’t think any of them noticed, and if they did, they didn’t draw attention to it.
Thank the fates.
Now, I just need a cold drink and a little bit of time away from the omegas, and I’ll be right as rain.
Chapter Nineteen
Emilia
I’m so happy that the pills Ian gave Camden seem to work. When I saw him at breakfast this morning, he was doing so much better. I feel bad about spending so much time with him yesterday when it was meant to be a day spent with all my suitors. It just seemed to make such a big difference to be so close to me. I didn’t have it in me to leave him.
Luckily, no one seemed to mind, and they all came over to hang out with us a few at a time, so as not to overwhelm Camden. If I didn’t already think my suitors were amazing men, this would have proven it to me—just like with Ian.
But it’s time for me to focus on my date and not Camden. It’s getting harder and harder to keep him off my mind—and the fact that my brother is running tests to see if we’re an omega pair.
“Emilia?”
My eyes widen as I turn my attention to Sasha, who’s wearing a small smile. I glance at Maverick and Dalton to find them both sporting the same smile.
I sigh. “I did it again, didn’t I?”
“It is okay,” Sasha assures me. “You worry about Camden. We all do.”
“Yes, but I’m excited to be on a date with the three of you, and I’m not acting like it.” I shake my head. “I’ll do better.”
Maverick’s hand closes around mine. “You don’t need to do better. I’d rather you not hide the fact that you’re worried. I want you to feel comfortable enough with us to tell us things like that.”
Do I melt before their eyes? Maybe not physically, but internally? Absolutely.
“You’re all too good to me.”
Dalton scoffs. “I’m sure that’s not true. It’s more likely that we’re not good enough for you, sugar.”
I make a face. “Yeah, that’s certainly not true.”
“I’m glad that’s settled,” he says with a grin. “Now, do you have any idea what you want to order? Because we’ve sent the poor server away three times because you were zoned out.”
My cheeks warm, and I’m sure I’m turning a lovely shade of red as I glance down at the menu I haven’t even opened yet. “Ummm…give me like two minutes.”
