“It’s time they all learn who you belong to.”
I shivered at the fierceness in his tone, then whispered, “And who you belong to.”
His arm around my thighs tightened possessively and I smiled as I watched the black and white checkered floor pass beneath his boots.
The music grew louder as we approached the center of the Rabbit Hole, everyone back to enjoying their night as if the scuffle with Gage hadn’t even happened. I lifted my head as much as I could while draped over Cabot’s shoulder as I was, searching the dance floor and surrounding booths for Gage or his submissives.
I wanted to see the blonde woman. Wanted her to follow us.
And then I wanted her to watch… well, whatever it was he had planned.
Butterflies kicked up in my stomach, teased at my chest.
What did he have planned?
The dance floor drifted away as he turned us down another hallway, then I gathered my bearings as we passed the first viewing room and stepped into the second.
He flipped on the light switch then set me down in the corner of the room, then caught my gaze. “Nothing happens here without your consent.”
I twisted my lips.
“Speak, Rylan.”
“You literally just cave-manned me.”
Cabot’s brows rose. His lips twitched. “That is… not a verb.”
“And yet here we are.” I raised my eyebrows back at him.
“Yes. Here we are.” He motioned to the surrounding room. “In a viewing room.”
My gaze flicked past him as motion caught my eye. One of the dungeon guys stepped into view, positioning himself at the edge of the viewing room. Preparing to keep an eye on us because—
My gaze flicked to the other side of Cabot’s head, past his shoulder.
People had already begun to gather.
My belly tightened even as a touch of dread crept its way through my limbs. Did I want them to see us like this? So raw and emotional as we laid claim to each other again?
“Look at me, Rylan. Only me.”
My gaze flicked back up to those onyx eyes. I cleared my throat and asked, “Why?”
“Why what?”
“Why are we here?”
Cabot scowled, reminding me that no matter what our situation or where we stood, he was still the intimidating man I’d wanted from the jump. “I told you why.”
I lifted my chin. “I want to see your face when you tell me again.”
His eyes darkened and he licked his lips. “You’ve forgotten who I am, Ms. Blake. It’s time I remind you.”
I trembled as my belly tightened with need. “Why here?”
Cabot’s jaw tightened, annoyance twisting his features. “I want them to watch as I punish you for each slip up you made tonight, each time you spoke to Gage Magnusson without my explicit permission. I want you to pay for the way you’ve unraveled me.”
I licked my lips to keep my smile at bay, but his eyes zeroed in on it.
