Chapter 20

Faryn was all cried out by the time she made it home. There was a little traffic getting from Landon’s house to hers, but she was happy that she’d finally made it. As soon as she sent him that text, she blocked his number. She just wished that she could do the same with her feelings.

“Thanks,” Faryn said as she handed the driver a tip and exited his car.

She hated to think that she would be spending more time at home and Harley was about to be moving. She didn’t have any other friends and she was going to be all alone once again. Harley was out furniture shopping, and Faryn was feeling the loneliness already. She had hung out with Makena a few times before, but that was a thing of the past now that she and Landon were over. After dragging her depressed body onto the elevator, Faryn headed up to her apartment to sulk in peace. That was exactly why she steered clear of love and relationships. Having her heart broken wasn’t on her to do list. Landon had the ability to break her down and she knew that from their first encounter.

Once she located her keys inside of her purse, Faryn unlocked her door and prepared to go inside. Harley’s front door opened before she did and out stepped Jo-Jo, cigarette in hand.

“What’s up beautiful?” he asked while looking Faryn up and down.

“Hey Jo-Jo,” Faryn said as she kept her hand on the knob of her door.

“Why you ain’t our shopping with your girl? That nigga must have had you on lock.”

“No, I had something to do,” Faryn replied nervously.

No matter how much she told herself that she was being paranoid, she just couldn’t shake the creepy feeling she got whenever Jo-Jo was around.

“What’s been up with you? Why you be acting like you don’t know a nigga no more?” he asked.

“We’re cool Jo-Jo, but I’ve grown up since we were together. Both of us have.”

“Nah, you just think you’re better than a nigga now,” Jo-Jo accused.

Since finding out that Monica knew Faryn’s boyfriend personally, Jo-Jo asked her all about him. Faryn had hit the jackpot and her man was paid. Jo-Jo felt some kind of way about how Faryn had been treating him. He was the one who stopped her from doing hand jobs at school and started taking care of her. That alone should have counted for something.

“Whatever,” Faryn said as she tried to hurriedly enter her house and close the door behind her.

She was quick, but Jo-Jo was quicker. He used his foot to stop her door from closing and entered the apartment behind her.

“Bitch, you should be grateful that I rescued your ass when I did. If it wasn’t for me, you probably would have ended up selling pussy just like your crackhead mama,” Jo-Jo sneered.

“Fuck you! Get out of my house before I call the police,” Faryn said as she nervously fumbled with her purse, trying to locate her phone.

Jo-Jo grabbed her purse and threw it across the room before he pulled her hair and made her come closer to him.

“You probably did start selling pussy once I got locked up. You can pretend for that nigga all you want to, but I know the real. You had to give hands jobs just to get something to eat,” Jo-Jo taunted.

“Get the hell out of my house Jo-Jo!” Faryn yelled while trying to pull away from him.

“Or what? The fuck can you possible do to me. I tried to be nice and ask you for another taste, but it looks like I might have to take what I want,” Jo-Jo said with an evil smirk.

He pushed Faryn back against the wall and used his knee to pry her legs open. She closed her eyes and cried silent tears when his free hand started roaming her body. Faryn swore on everything that he would have to kill her if he wanted to rape her. There was no way that she was giving it up to him again unless she was a corpse.

“I hope you’re prepared to fuck some dead pussy. That’s the only way you’re gonna get it,” Faryn said as she started swinging and going crazy on him. She was screaming to the top of her lungs hoping that someone, anyone heard her.

“Bitch!” Jo-Jo yelled as he slapped her down to the floor.

Faryn had scratched his face up and it was burning like hell. He was used to Faryn being slightly shy and timid, but she was an entirely different person now. He had to keep reminding himself that she wasn’t the same fifteen-year-old girl that he’d met and manipulated all those years ago. She had grown and matured. Jo-Jo was ready to slide down to the floor and have his way with her, but Faryn was up on her feet in no time at all. She tried to run for the door, but he grabbed her by her hair again and threw her to the ground. Faryn was kicking and screaming as he led her down the hall to her bedroom. Jo-Jo had never been there before, but he was sure he could find it with ease. Faryn’s head was pounding from having her hair pulled, but she was in survival mode. Jo-Jo was having a hard time with her because she was putting up a good fight.

“The fuck,” Faryn heard right before the Jo-Jo’s grip on her hair loosened and he released her altogether.

She jumped up from the floor just in time to see Landon pummeling Jo-Jo’s face. Faryn had never seen him look like that before and she was shocked. His sister told her that he had a dark side, but Faryn never had to witness it. Seeing as how he was doing Jo-Jo, she was happy that she didn’t. Faryn didn’t even hear him come in, but she was thankful nonetheless. Landon’s handsome face was a mask of anger as he pounded Jo-Jo’s face with his closed fist.

“Landon, no! You’re gonna kill him!” Faryn screamed as she ran over to him.

Jo-Jo had fallen to the tiled floor and Landon started stomping him. He was out cold and his face was a bloody mess, but Landon still wasn’t satisfied.
