Her question was answered when a brand-new silver Mercedes GLS 550 pulled up with a huge pink and blue bow on top of it.

“You might not be pushing, but your fiancé got you a push present!” Makena yelled excitedly.

“I’m fucking you up Aiden. I told you to stand out here and watch the truck. Nobody told your dumb ass to drive it,” Landon argued.

“Nigga, please. You got me out here guarding a damn near hundred-thousand-dollar whip and you didn’t think I was gon’ push that bitch,” Aiden laughed.

“And you ain’t no better Raheem,” Landon fussed when his cousin exited the passenger’s side.

“Calm down bruh. We only went around the corner,” Raheem replied.

“Oh, my God, baby! I love it!” Faryn yelled as she rushed over to her new truck. She moved slow every other day, but she was damn near running to her present.

“Slow down Faryn,” Landon chastised.

The baby shower was over, but a few people stood around and took pictures and talked. Faryn was so happy, and that was Landon’s goal. He was nervous as hell about proposing and that’s why he was missing when she opened her gifts. Clarence had to talk some sense into him because he had changed his mind. Landon’s first marriage didn’t end very well, and he didn’t want a repeat of that heartbreak. Clarence had to drill in his head that Faryn and Malia were nothing alike, and he was right.

After weighing his options, Landon knew that making Faryn his wife was the right thing to do. They loved each other, and their chemistry was on point from day one. Once he really thought about it, the decision was easy. His sons were excited about them getting married and that let him know that he was doing the right thing. They wanted to be a part of the proposal, so Makena helped him out with that as well. Landon had told everybody that he was proposing, so it would have been weird if he didn’t do it.

“I’m getting married y’all!” Faryn yelled to her brothers and sister when they walked over to her.

“Congrats baby.” Roman smiled as he gave his baby sister a hug, followed by Chad and Akira.

Roman and Chad were especially happy for her because they knew that she had a good man in Landon. Malia was dumb as hell, but they knew that Faryn would make a great wife.

“So, when’s the wedding?” Akira asked while admiring Faryn’s ring.

“That’s the catch,” Landon said, making Faryn pause and turn to look at him.

“Oh, hell no, Landon. Who proposes to somebody and has a catch to it? I knew this day was too good to be true. You better not say nothing stupid. I’ll start swinging on your ass, babies and all,” Faryn threatened.

“Damn baby. At least let me say what I have to say before you start going off. My babies got you mean as fuck,” Landon laughed.

“Okay, I’m listening,” Faryn replied with her arms folded across her swollen belly.

“I was just gonna say that I wanted us to get married before the babies come. If you want to do something big in a year or so, we can do that too,” Landon said.

“Oh, well that’s not a problem. We can do it tomorrow if you want to. And I don’t need anything big. I’m not trying to impress nobody,” Faryn replied.

“Shit, just let us know when and where,” Roman spoke up.

“Let me see what my girl can do. She knows a lot of people and places that could probably do a last-minute event,” Makena said, speaking of her friend who did the baby shower.

“Thanks, but no thanks Makena. You don’t know how to do anything small. This baby shower was way bigger than we wanted it to be,” Faryn replied.

“You better talk to your man. He was the one who told me to invite the entire family because he wanted to propose,” Makena replied.

“Oh yeah baby, that was all me. But, see what your girl can do Makena. Money is not a problem if she can make it happen,” Landon said.

“I got you, lil brother,” Makena said as she walked away.

“Make sure you keep us posted Faryn,” Chad said as he gave her a hug. Roman and Akira did the same before saying their goodbyes and leaving.

“Are we leaving now? I’m tired,” Lennox asked when he walked up to them.

“Yeah, you and Lance can ride with Faryn. I have to bring grandma and her sisters home,” Landon replied.

“What about that U-Haul truck?” Faryn asked.
