“Move Faryn!” Landon barked.
“Baby, please! I’m scared! You’re gonna kill him!” Faryn screamed as she cried hysterically.
Thankfully, Landon finally backed away, but he was breathing like a raging bull. He was pacing the floor like a mad man, leaving his bloody shoe prints on the light-colored tile.
“The fuck is this Faryn? Huh?” Landon boomed as he showed Faryn the text message that she’d sent him.
“I-” she started before he cut her off.
“You blocked my number and I don’t even know what the hell is going on,” Landon fumed.
“Landon, please, I don’t want to be here with him passed out on my floor,” Faryn said while pointing to Jo-Jo.
“Fuck that nigga!” Landon barked as he kicked Jo-Jo’s unconscious body for good measure.
“Oh, my God! Can we just go? I really don’t want to be here,” Faryn begged as she grabbed her purse from the floor.
Landon grabbed her hand and was heading for the door until she stopped him.
“What about him? I can’t leave him in my house,” Faryn panicked.
Landon let her hand go and grabbed Jo-Jo by one arm, dragging him out of Faryn’s apartment. Once he had him out in the hall, he let him go and left him right there for someone else to find him. After he locked up Faryn’s apartment, they took the steps to the first floor and went to his car.
“Start talking and don’t leave shit out,” Landon demanded as he drove.
Faryn knew it was the wrong time to be lusting, but Landon was sexy as hell when he was mad. She immediately shook the naughty thoughts from her head when Landon looked at her expectantly.
“You remember when Lance got in trouble at school that last time and we went out back and talked?” Faryn questioned.
“What about it?” Landon countered.
“Well, he was upset because Lennox told him that their mother was moving back in with y’all. Apparently, Malia told Lennox that y’all were getting back together and they thought we were breaking up.”
“And you believed that shit Faryn? They’re kids, so I can see how they were manipulated, but you should have known better.”
“I’m sorry Landon, but I didn’t know what to think. I didn’t tell you because I was too scared of it being true. Then, when she showed up there today and said that she thought you told me that y’all were back together, I believed her. Hell, she still had her wedding ring on and everything.”
“That’s some straight up bullshit! And you call yourself a counselor?” Landon questioned.
“What the hell is that supposed to mean?” Faryn snapped.
“It means exactly what I said. How can you help other people talk about their feelings and you can’t even talk about yours? I never hid anything from you, Faryn. I was straight up from day one and I still am. Even if I wasn’t with you, I wouldn’t be with Malia. I just don’t understand how you and my sons let one person come in and flip shit upside down in a matter of hours. I wasn’t even gone that damn long. This shit doesn’t even make sense to me right now. It’s like everybody was keeping a secret that wasn’t even true,” Landon fussed.
“I’m sorry baby, but what did you expect me to do?” Faryn asked.
“I expected you to talk to me like you always do Faryn. Do you realize how much worse shit could have been? I started to go straight home, but I’m happy that I came to you first. I told you that I didn’t trust that nigga. Fucking pedophile rapist,” Landon fumed.
“Everything happened so fast. It was like he just snapped all of a sudden. He barged inside my apartment and started wilding out,” Faryn replied.
“Yeah, well you can consider yourself moved out,” Landon informed her.
“I can’t do that Landon. I still have at least six more months left on my lease. If I don’t fulfill it, that’s going on my credit report.”
“I’ll take care of the lease Monday,” he assured her.
“You can’t just move me out of my apartment like that,” Faryn argued.
“Try and stop me!” he barked angrily, making her jump in fear.
