The words spill out of me before I can even think about them, but I don’t regret them. No one else is touching her and that’s final.

Beckett’s eyes go wide, and he holds his hands up. “Dude, Cash, chill. I’m just fucking with you when I say stuff like that. She’s hot, yeah, but I only ever mean it playfully. I know she’s yours.”

I stare at him, my heart racing. She’s mine. For now. Until I let her go.

Kian pats my shoulder and pulls me back. “Calm down, Cash. It’s all good. Beckett’s just being an idiot.”

Deep down, I know that. None of us would ever fuck with each other’s girls, but there’s something about Jordyn that makes me feral. I want to kill any man who looks at her.

“Why’d you spank her?” Xander asks. “Based on her red eyes, I’d say it wasn’t a playful one.”

I let out a sigh and sink into my chair, rubbing a hand over my face. Why do I feel so out of control about her?

When I watched her take that fucking swimsuit cover-up off and roll over onto her stomach on the outside cameras, showing off her skimpy bikini and plump ass to Caleb, I nearly threw my laptop across the room. I was up and headed outside in a flash. I should have sent Caleb inside and punished her in private, but in some sick, fucked-up way, I wanted him to see that she’s mine to punish. Not his. And she needed to know I wouldn’t hesitate to do it in front of anyone if she acts up.

“She was flirting with Caleb. Asking him to rub tanning oil on her by the pool.”

My brothers eye each other silently before they look at me again.

“So, do we need to go bury Caleb’s body?” Kian finally asks.

It’s exactly what we needed to break the tension because all of us chuckle, and I shake my head. “No. He’s still alive. For now. Surprisingly, he’s remained professional around her despite how beautiful she is.”

“No comment.” Beckett smirks, and I roll my eyes. The guy is such an asshole, I could have had my gun pressed to his temple, but he’d still make a sarcastic remark a minute later about the same thing.

“Fuck off,” I mutter while showing him my middle finger.

Beckett grins and winks, and everything is good between us as always. I’m not sure if it’s because he’s the baby of the family or if it’s because he’s so damn charismatic, but Beckett is impossible to stay mad at for long. Even if he is a dick.

“You need to quit playing the nice captor and get some answers, Cash. Otherwise, we’re never going to find out what we need,” Xander says.

I glance at my laptop screen, still displaying the camera feed. She’s sunbathing on her back on the lounger, a sun hat hiding her heart-shaped face. She’s a Kingston. Although from what I’ve seen, she seems more like a Savage to me. And I’m not sure how to explain that to anyone. Even to myself.

I tear my eyes away from the screen to look at my brothers. “I’ll talk to her later. For now, we have businesses to run. Let’s go to work and poke around for information at the same time.”

Several of myclosest men flank me as I step out onto the dazzling carpeted entrance of The Crown Hotel and Casino. Tourists move aimlessly around us, like moths to a flame, as they head into the casino. Hoping to make a bet that will change their lives forever. The energy of Vegas is like no other; I’ll never get tired of the glittering lights and electrified atmosphere.

Women eye me hungrily as I pass them, their husbands too busy trying to win a hand of cards to notice. I ignore their lingering gazes, looking straight ahead as I stride toward the private elevator that will take me up to Elliott Carver’s office. Just before I get there, I’m stopped and searched as standard protocol. I give my gun to one of my security guards, who will stay down here before nodding at Carver’s men. Without pausing, they let me through with a different member of my security detail.

When we get to the top floor and step into the bright white marble lobby, I signal for my man to stay where he is as Elliott’s young secretary leads me into his office. The girl looks fresh out of high school. She won’t last long, I’m sure. Working in this industry isn’t easy. Especially working for the top dogs.

“Mr. Cash Savage is here to see you,” she informs Elliott.

The dark-haired man, and my longtime business acquaintance, looks up from his computer and smiles, then waves me in. He knew I was coming. This isn’t a surprise visit like I would do to someone else to be an asshole. Elliott is a decent person, and he’s one of the few I trust in this town. He was raised in this world, like me. The only difference is hisfamily comes from old money and has had stakes in Las Vegas for generations while my parents fought and clawed in their younger years to turn shitty, rundown casinos into billion-dollar luxury that people spend a fortune to stay in for a few nights. Their old money has nothing on us.

“Thanks, Candy.” He winks at the scantily dressed woman.

The hair on the back of my neck prickles, and I narrow my gaze at the man in front of me.

I never took Elliott as the type to fuck his secretary. I can’t judge; I did it in the past when I was younger and dumber. But we’re in our late thirties, fucking around like that is in the past. Now I prefer to have a secretary I trust and don’t have to babysit. It makes business go smoother.

“Nice to see you, man.” Elliott comes around his desk and holds out his hand. “You caught me at the perfect time, I guess. I was supposed to have a date tonight, but I got stood up.”

He shakes his head, clearly annoyed by that, and I can’t say I blame him. It would piss me off if a woman did that to me. She’d definitely have a red ass if I ever saw her again. Then again, if a woman wasn’t that into me, I’d know it and wouldn’t even ask for a date.

Although my little kitten has me playing guessing games like a damn game show contestant.

“Well, it’s a good thing I’m so good-looking, then,” I tease.
