Page 13 of Christmas with Hope

“And if I do?” I asked huskily against his lips.

“Then I’ll be forced to kiss you again…” He kissed me gently. “And again.”

“Don’t threaten me with a good time, Mister Preston.”

There was no hiding the sexual tone in my voice. To be honest, I didn’t even try. I didn’t care. It was just him and me, two grown adults alone in a cabin. Whatever happened was between us.

“It’s not a threat, sweetheart.” Colton looked at me with lust-filled eyes. The kind of eyes that made me want to rip his clothes off and take what I wanted. Every inch of what I wanted.

“Mmm. I do like a challenge.”

Colton wrapped his arm around my waist. In one quick move, he had me laying on my back with him looking down at me with a grin on his face.

“You look beautiful at every angle.” He stroked my cheek lightly and smiled.

His words were as tender as his touch. My eyes closed briefly as I basked in the moment. The moment was gone too soon.

“Thank you,” I said, opening my eyes and smiling.

Colton leaned down and kissed me. His tongue pressed against the seam of my lips. I parted them welcoming a much needed deeper kiss. When his cold hand slid under my shirt, I trembled from both the coldness and the sensation of his touch.

“Colton,” I moaned against his lips.

“Sorry. I probably just froze you,” he chuckled, lowering his hand from inside my shirt.

I grabbed his hand and shook my head.

“No,” I nipped his bottom lip. “I need your touch.”

“Mmm. Hope.” He tiptoed his fingertips up my side, making me tremble. “You sure it’s not too–”

I was tired of him worrying.

“Colton,” I bit his lip again. “If you want to talk, we can go sit on the couch.”

I kissed from the base of his neck up to his ear.

“However, I’d prefer we do something else,” I whispered against his ear.

“Damn,” he trembled. “You’re already finding my weaknesses.”

“And what would that weakness be?”

Colton’s fingertips gripped my side as I spoke my words slowly and softly into his ear.

“You,” he moaned huskily and crashed his lips against mine, once more.

With my arms around his neck, I pulled him down on top of me. I lowered my arms and slid my hands under his shirt. I had been dying to feel his skin.

His skin was warm to the touch. He trembled as my fingers slid up along his smooth back.

“Are they too cold?” I asked, pulling away briefly.

“No,” he gasped. “Let me feel your touch, beautiful.”

“Colton,” I moaned at his words. “I… I need…”

“What do you need, Hope?” he nipped at the side of my neck, causing me to rake my nails deep into his back. My back arched off the floor. “Tell me, Hope. What do you need?”
