Jesse held his hands up to show he hadn’t touched the horn. “I’ll take that as a yes.” He turned toward Rachel. “I guess I’ll have to thank that young chap.”

Rachel grinned. “Let’s thank Mary. Thank you, Mary, so much for helping us find Will’s heart.” She paused, adding, “And thank you for my dress.”

“Your dress?” Jesse asked.

“Long story.” She looked down at the note. Would this lead to her happy ending with Will?

“So, Boss, now that you found his heart, what are you going to do about it?”

Rachel traced Will’s words with her fingertips. She carefully folded the note, placing it back in the worn envelope. “We should get to work.” She hopped out of the car, a warm breeze running through her hair.

“What’s on the agenda for today?” Jesse asked, stepping onto the curb. “Want me to start on cleaning out the front cooler?”

“No.” She smiled, handing him Will’s letter. “I need you to make a special delivery.”
