My baby sister smirks as she walks toward me, throwing her arms around me and hugging me. I return the embrace, grateful she’s lost some of the pissed off attitude about me for kicking her out of my place all those months ago.

“This mean I’m forgiven?” I ask, ruffling a hand in her hair.

“No,” she says, punching me in the arm. “But it doesn’t mean I don’t still love you, big brother. Even if you are a shithead.”

I laugh, glancing at Erin as I say, “See what I mean,” before introducing them. “So, Sarah, meet my girlfriend Erin. Erin, meet my pain in the ass baby sister, Sarah.”

“Hi,” Erin says, eyes flicking between me and my sister.

“Hey,” Sarah says, as she pulls herself from my embrace and walks over to Erin, hugging her just like my mom did. “And for the record, it is great to finally meet you,” she adds on. “Come sit, do you want something to eat, a drink?”

Erin glances at me as though she isn’t sure what the right answer is. I smile as I look at Sarah and say, “It’s late and we’ve had a long day. How about bed and you two can talk tomorrow? There’s a couple of things I need to do, so you’ll have her all to yourself for a couple of hours,” I add, knowing there’s not a chance in hell that Erin will be coming with me when I head out to the prison. It was hard enough making sure we got out of Boston and Rockport without anyone following us, I sure as shit don’t need her coming with me while I go and chase up a possible connection to her ex-boyfriend. “But go easy, alright,” I say, glaring at both my sister and my mom. “I don’t want either of you scaring my girl off with fifty million questions.”

Mom scoffs as she waves a hand at me. “Don’t be silly, Ryan. I just want a chance to get to know the first girl my son’s ever brought home a little better.”

I see Erin turn to face me now, a look of complete shock on her face. Mom’s right, I’ve never brought a girl home to introduce to my family. Not ever. Not because I haven’t had any girlfriends in the past. I’ve just never had any that I wanted to bring home like this.

My family is very close and I’m very protective of them, just like they are of me. We might scrap and argue, but it’s always playful and quickly resolved. They mean the world to me, and to bring a random girl into that, well it just isn’t something I’ve ever wanted to do.

But with Erin, things are different. Not only does she mean more to me than that, she’s also someone I see myself spending the rest of my life with. And for that reason, I know she’s worth introducing to my family.

“Okay, we’re heading up,” I say, knowing I need to get Erin alone, if only so I can check she’s not totally freaking out with all of this. “We’ll see you both in the morning,” I add, kissing them both on the cheek.

They mumble their goodnights before returning to the couch to no doubt finish their crime show marathon. I usher Erin out of the room and toward the stairs. We start to head up, but after a couple of steps, Erin grabs my arm, silently stopping me.

“You okay?” I ask, glancing down at her.

“You’ve never brought a girl home before?” she whispers, staring back at me.

I smile as I lean in and press a soft kiss to her lips. “Nope, never,” I say before kissing her again.

She stares up at me, her eyes wide. I’m not sure if she’s trying to work out how to respond to that or she just doesn’t know what to say. The look on her face is a mix of fear and apprehension, with maybe a little bit of happiness in there too, as though she’s finally realizing how serious I am about us and about her. I shake my head a little, smiling at her as I brush a few strands of hair off her cheek, pull her close and kiss her again.

I let Erin shower first and when I come back to my room, I find her looking around, taking everything in. Not much has changed from when I lived here, my mom preferring to leave our old rooms as they were and let us change them if and when we want to. She’s wearing an old t-shirt of mine that I haven’t seen in forever and I watch as she looks at the notice board above my desk, her eyes roaming over the photos and ticket stubs and other shit I have pinned up there.

Smiling, I walk up behind her, slipping my arms around her waist and pulling her against me. “You know, you’re also the first girl who’s ever slept in this room,” I whisper, pressing my lips to the side of her neck.

“Really?” she asks, surprised.

“Uh huh,” I murmur, nibbling her skin as my hands now slide under the t-shirt and over her warm skin. “Come to bed, babe,” I say, lifting it up and over her head.

Erin turns in my arms, her hands going to the towel around my waist and tugging it free. “You sure we should be doing this?” she whispers, lips against mine.

I pull her body so it’s flush against me. “Oh yeah.”

She smiles against my mouth. “You gonna be able to stay quiet?” she asks.

I grin. “Are you?” I tease, knowing full well that neither of us is exactly quiet when it comes to fucking.

“Guess we’ll find out,” she says, hands on my chest as she pushes me back toward the bed.

I turn us just as we reach it so it’s Erin who falls backward, her naked body now sprawled back on the bed I grew up sleeping in, jacking off in and generally fantasizing about fucking whoever my latest crush was in. But as I stare down at her now, I realize all of that pales in comparison to her.

“Fuck, you’re beautiful,” I whisper, hands on either side of her as I hover over her.

Erin smiles up at me, a tiny blush on her cheeks as she widens her legs in invitation. I grin back at her, before licking my lips and lowering my head, kissing my way down her body until I reach her pussy.

“Shit, Red,” I groan the second my mouth is on her.
