"Fuck you, Crown!" I snickered.
"A whole new world!" he sang loudly. "A new fantastic view!"
Shaking my head, I laughed hard as hell. This nigga was never going to not be serious. Walking behind me, Crown wrapped his arms around my waist and then nuzzled his face into the curve of my neck as I knocked on the door.
"I'm so in love with your blind ass," he murmured.
"You wanna do the redo when we leave?" I asked since I now had my glasses.
"Nah, tomorrow morning. I wanna see the sun shining on your face, smell your morning breath, and wipe the drool from the corner of your mouth."
"Why are you so weird?"
"Not weird. I just in love with the rawest version of you."
Crown left me speechless, but my heart knew exactly what it needed... what we needed. I pulled him into me by his braids, stood on my toes, and kissed him, deep and desperately, stitching our souls together with each passing breath.
"Four, unless you wanna catch these bullets with that nigga, I suggest you move out the way." Hearing the grit in Wolfe's voice, we ended the kiss and looked toward the door.
"Nigga, who you shooting with my niece strapped to your fucking chest?" Crown chuckled.
"Nigga, she got a couple of bullets for your ass too, since you're out here calling her momma the fake Mrs. Gravehart."
Shit!
Chapter 20
Chosyn Gravehart
"You've been calling me what?" I blacked, pushing in front of Wolfe. I looked toward River's fake ass who mouthedI'm sorry.
"Four, tell your friend it's not that deep." Crown didn't have to worry about my husband shooting his ignorant ass because I had no problems doing it myself.
"First of all I was your friend before she was yourFourso no, she's not gonna tell me a damn thing. Why don't you tell me, Cortez?" I snipped, crossing my arms over my chest.
"Chill with the name-calling. Four always thinks I'm playing when I call her my wife. To make sure she understood where I was coming from, I said something about you being the fake Mrs. Gravehart and her being the real one." Crown stepped forward like he was about to walk his goofy ass in my house after he said that dumb shit.
"Listen, what you consider a joke, me and mine don't play about. Ain't shit fake about our marriage. Address and respect me asthefirst Mrs. Gravehart, or don't come around me or my family. Wolfe might be your brother, but he's my life, and I'll kill behind that." I smirked, flashing a blade between my teeth.
"Four you gon' let your friend talk to me like that?"
"I told you to stop playing with her." River gave me a quick hug, then took Phoenix from Wolfe and brought her into the house.
"Oh, so we not gon' stand united on this shit?" Crown shouted after her. "Cool. Anytime I say it Four be cackling and shit. Kick her ass out the crib Chosyn. She's fake as fuck."
"Nope. Now, apologize."
"You gon' stand there like a proud husband while your wife threatens me with a fucking blade?"
Wolfe shrugged, knowing my domesticated ass needed a little action. Being a mother was cool. I loved my daughter, but I also missed having some excitement in my life. I was so bored one day that I reached out to Dreka from Wolfe's phone, thinking she might take the bait, but her ass wasn't with it. I guess the whole threatening to burn her ass alive taught her a valuable lesson.
"Y'all annoying as fuck," Crown groaned.
"That doesn't sound like an apology." I smiled.
"Ight, my bad 'bout disrespecting y'all marriage. I ain't mean no harm. If your friend wasn't so fucking hardheaded, I wouldn't have to say off the wall shit for her to take me seriously."
"Is he forgiven, Wolfie?" I cooed, looking toward my husband.
