“Oh! You were being serious! You guys can really do that? Wouldn’t the insurance require someone licensed to do that?” Jenniffer asked, her hopes getting up slightly.

“We’ll have someone on site with us that is certified and license. Someone that we have all worked with, and he’s donating his time, not charging us a penny. The only money going out would be for the materials needed to do the build and anything needed for the dogs to get you back up and running.”

“What about us?” Jenniffer asked shyly, worried she’d messed things up.

“We’re good. I get why you ran when you did. I wish you had confronted the situation, but I understand. Babe, there’s no one but you. I love you. You’re the one I want to spend the rest of my life with. You and only you. By the way, the chief turned his daughter in when he found out what happened. Kimberlee sang like a canary, but she’s still going down with her for everything that’s happened to you. The chief is also retiring with full benefits after finding out. He hopes you can forgive him for what his daughter pulled.”

“He didn’t do it. I get why he’s doing it, but he wasn’t the one who lit the matches that set the fire, nor did he kill Xena.”

“He’s also the reason you’ll have an uptick in clients. He’s put the word out on how damn good you are. He’s talked to the Mayor and the Governor about getting you contracts with both law enforcement and the military for the state of California.”

“Oh my god! Are you serious?” Jenniffer screamed, jumping off Jack’s lap, her hands going to her mouth in shock.

“Yep. Doesn’t hurt that Pratt, Raso, Highlander and Marcus have also put in requests with their bosses as well. Well, Pratt and Raso didn’t have to do too much. Captain Irby had already beaten them to it with her request.” Jack laughed, standing up, grabbing Jenniffer’s hand.

“Thank you!” Jenniffer quietly cried, tears freely falling from her eyes.

“No need to thank me. I love you! I want to see you happy. Training dogs makes you happy. I will do everything in my power to make you happy. No matter what.”
