I nodded and before I could respond she hung up. The entire time my eyes remained glued to Gayze’s backside. It was fucking magnificent, shit sometimes I caught myself just staring at it. She was now in her room making up the damn blowup mattress.
“Stop looking at my butt, Mazzier.”
“Why?” I asked, walking up and standing behind her.
“Because I can damn near feel your eyes burning a hole in my behind.” She turned around and looked up at me.
I wrapped my arms around her waist. “I’d like to be doing a lot more, but the way your schedule is set up, a nigga has to schedule that time. That’s exactly why we ain’t going to that dinner tonight, I got better shit to be eating then vegetarian food.” I leaned down and pressed my lips against her forehead.
She giggled as I let her go and she continued to get dressed. “You nasty.”
“And you fucking like it. Say you don’t.”
“Hmph. What’s on your agenda today?” She asked.
“ I need to run by Canez and change the locks and shit. Then I’m on some other shit.” I shrugged. I didn’t even know what other shit was, but it sounded good.
I ended up talking and kicking it with her until she left for work, then I had my own shit to deal with. Now I knew my sister would be with Mecca, I wasn’t in a rush to put Gayze’s bed together. She’d be at my place tonight anyways. When I pulled up to Canez, I wasn’t even surprised to see Honey parked outside in a pair of shades with a trench coat. Since things withme and Gauze had gotten back on track, I wasn’t even taking her calls. Call me a bitch or whatever, all I know is I wasn’t tryna jeopardize anything I was building with her. Before I got out of the car, I looked around to see if the locksmith was here, I wanted all my shit changed because what happened the other day couldn’t happen again. I spotted his truck and nodded my head as I hopped out.
She was first to approach me, but I held my hand up telling her ass to hold up as I walked up to the locksmith. I remembered him from the last time he came through so when he saw me he was already getting his shit from his van.
“Good to see you again Mr. Carson. What’s the deal?” he asked in broken English.
I nodded. “Same, I want everything changed. I’m talking codes, keys and the whole nine. I’ll pay whatever it is at the end. If I’m not around, just have Mikey call me.”
He nodded as he proceeded into Canez while I turned around and looked at Honey. “Look Imma need you to stop popping up and hitting me up.” I peered at her.
“So it’s that easy? You post that bitch on ya social media and you through with me and all the fun we have?”
I laughed knowing what she was referring to. I’d posted an off-guard of Gauze in her scrubs this morning. It was nothing special, hell Gauze hated the picture but I fucked with it.
“Shorty, we had fun, cool but that’s it. I’m cool on this.”
She shook her head. “I thought we were?—”
“Honey, what you want me to be a nothing ass nigga and feed you dreams while I go home to my lady every night? Nah, I can’t do that because I’m not built like that. I fouled up with you once, but I’m making this shit clear right now.”
What she did next made me tilt my head to the side and just look at her. Shorty started stomping on the ground and throwing what looked like a tantrum. She threw her hands to her headand started screaming. “No, no, no! You weren’t supposed to be with her. I’ve done everything. I shared my best friend with you, Mazz. Why her?”
I didn’t even bother to respond, I walked my ass over and got into my car. I didn’t have time to do this with her childish ass. I maneuvered my truck from the parking space and pulled from the parking lot.
The moment the thought of going to climb into my bead entered my brain, my phone started ringing. I glanced at the monitor in my car and I saw that it was Quari.
“What, nigga.” I asked, before looking at the road ahead.
“Pull through Green Mile and Quari said bring that file. Damn you grouchy too? What the fuck is wrong with y’all?” Kasair asked, fussing through Quari’s phone.
I shrugged my shoulders before I hung up. I clicked through my music before I turned it all the way up and sped toward Green Mile was the name of an old factory that I purchased to run business in when I first started. I made a lot of money in that old damp motherfucker, but then I expanded and started doing more business in the city. The downside to Green Mile was that it was far from the city, so it was a mission to even get to it. After driving for about forty-five minutes, I pulled into the factory through the back where the delivery bays were. That space brought back many memories. Immediately, I saw Quari’s truck and parked next to it. Once I exited my own vehicle, I walked further into the factory where a set of metal doors sat locked. I knew this motherfucker inside and out, so I knew that’s where they were. It was probably the most secure place on the entire property. Using the key that I still had on my keyring, I unlocked the doors. When I walked in, the smell of urine and what seemed like feces settled in causing my nostrils to flare.
“Make some noise next time, you almost just caught a bullet.” Quari called out to me while he rested against the metal tablein the corner of the small room. I looked around before walking over and passing him the file that Johnson had given me. From the outside it seemed much larger, but it wasn’t. When it was being occupied, I always assumed it was a break room or some shit like that.
I nodded then glanced toward where Kasair stood in front of what looked like Liz or Joy. Whatever shorty’s name was didn’t move me one bit. “You niggas weren’t fucking playing. How y’all get her here?” I couldn’t help but laugh because it was just this morning when Kasair hit me up asking for her address.”
“Don’t fucking ask, my boy gotta get some anger management.” Kasair cut his eyes over at Quari who was still resting against the table. He looked calm as fuck and so did, Kasair. Joy or Liz on the other hand looked nothing but it. Her hair was all over her head and she was sweating bullets.
“Damn Liz, I mean Joy. You look like you’re having a long ass day, fam.” I walked a little closer to her. As soon as I did so, she gathered the spit and mucus in her mouth and spat it at me. I mean literally, shorty gathered all the saliva and mucus in her mouth and spit it in my direction. She barely missed my shoes.
“See Bitches lose their molars for less.” Kasair pointed in her direction. “But my nothing ass mama taught me at a young age not to hit a bitch, so?—”
