“I’ll get tested, only because that means Imma be able to slide raw.” He nodded his head like that was an incentive.

When I sat his food in front of him I couldn’t help but laugh at the goofy ass smile on his face. He was a freaking mess and he knew that. Once I made them breakfast, I retreated to his bedroom. He wanted me to hang tough around his but I still needed to go help my grandmother pack. If you let Dolly, she’d pack everything. She’d be taking all the shit that could go to the trash.

“Imma need those tests today, because I can’t have you in my crib like this when I can’t touch you.”

I laughed because these last few days I’ve been big on us talking and not getting physical.

“I could call the hospital and get that rushed for you if you have the time.” I smiled and glanced over at him. I could see that he wanted to curse my ass out, but he wouldn’t.

He nodded his head before a smirk filled his handsome face once again. “You do that, because when I handle my shit I’m torturing yo ass all fucking night and I don’t wanna hear none of that lets talk bullshit. Matter fact you better be a fucking mute tonight unless you moaning or screaming my fucking name.”

I could contain the laugh that fell from my lips. The funniest thing about it was that he was serious. I had no response for him though. At this point I’d give him that.

As I said I would,I went over to my grandmother’s house to help her pack. The funny thing is I knew I was right, her ass had packed everything. From stuff she no longer needed to clothesshe hadn’t worn in forever. I wasn’t worried about the furniture or any of that because I had purposely gotten a home big enough for us both to have our space. I had purchased a two-story Brownstone in the Gold Coast neighborhood. I made sure the home had its own elevator and everything, so my grandmother could have the entire second story to herself. The idea of having her closer gave me some type of peace of mind.

“Gah, what’s the problem with?—"

“Granny, you don’t need any of this. Why are you even taking this?” I held up the outdoor doormat.

“Because I wanted to and it’s mine, and I made you buy it for me.” She crossed her stubborn arms and looked at me like I was bothering her. Suddenly that changed though, she started to bat her eyelashes and look me over.

“What happened with my future grandson in law when he came over?” She batted her eyelashes with a big smile on her face.

“I knew you sent him.” I pointed at her with a mug.

“Why wouldn't I? I told you I wanted you to be happy with him.” She looked at me with a knowing look.

I looked at her and laughed because she didn’t do that at all. In actuality she told me that we would end up together. But instead of responding, I continued to help her pack. I had only taken three days from work to get this done, so I had to make it count. As if time flew, by the time I looked up it was six in the afternoon and Mazzier was walking in her door with the biggest goofiest smirk on his face.

I was about to greet him when he pressed his lips to mine. When he pulled back, he just looked at me. “Mute, remember?”

I looked at him confused, but then he handed me some folded-up papers. When I opened them, they were the results of an STD screening dated for today. I smirked before I looked back up at him and caught his eyes.

“Made time out of my busy ass day to handle that for you.” He winked before walking around me and going to hug my grandmother. She and he talked and joked for a little while longer before he looked over at me and that big sarcastic ass smirk was back. “Are you ready to go?”

I didn’t even speak to him, I nodded my head then I looked over at my grandmother. “do you need anything, before I go?”

“Yeah for y’all to take this weird ass energy on somewhere and make me a grandbaby. Just one.” She put her hands together like she was about to pray.

Mazzier’s smirk grew. “Yeah, I got you on that one.

It didn’t take long for me to follow him back to his home after we left Dolly’s house. Hell in actuality it didn’t take long at all because he made sure we took the expressway the entire way there.

“You hungry?” he asked as we walked in the door and I sat my purse on his island.

“Like you care.” I rolled my eyes to the top of the ceiling before walking over and falling against his chocolate plush sectional.

He laughed. “You right, I don’t, not tonight at least.” He pulled the long sleeve thermal top he was wearing off and sat it on the sofa before taking a seat next to me. He rested one of his hands on my thigh before he spoke again. “I like when yeen got work the next day.”

“At this point you’re starting to sound like a creep.”

He laughed. “Nah baby, you turned me into a fiend and I need my fix. Now do me a favor and drop the jeans.”

I looked at him like he was crazy, because he had to be. “Nigga I ain’t no stripper.”

“You right, that ain’t profession but tonight you whatever I need you to be. So c’mon drop ‘em and I might drop a few ones.”

I giggled before standing. “See that’s where you’re wrong. I’m not dropping shit for ones. I’m not even a stripper for real, but I know throwing ones is a broke man’s sport.” Yes I watched P Valley and I could move a little something so he would definitely have to throw a little more.
