“Fine.” I held him close and just comforted him until he pulled back and just looked at me.
“I Luh’ yo ass, Mecca Loraine Carson.”
I smacked my lips. “What I tell you about that middle name shit. Don’t call me that.” I hated my middle name with a passion and he was the only person who made it their mission to remind me of the god forsaken ass name.
He smirked. “What’s wrong with it? I mean yeah it gives you that old lady on a ranch sound but I’m cool with it.” he shrugged.
“Fine Thomas.”
He mugged me.
“Ohh, it’s not that fun when I say yours.” I teased.
Chapter 13
KASAIR
At this point everything in me was full, but I kept it together for her. I didn’t need her stressing or worrying about anything that was going in with me or these streets. Mecca was the type to worry about any and everything if she knew something was wrong. I watched her sleep for hours until I knew I wouldn’t be getting any myself. It was going on two days that I hadn’t slept and I had never felt more energetic. That probably wasn’t the word to describe it, but that’s how I felt. Though I was carrying the weight of the world, I didn’t feel weighed down. Once I walked into her living room, I pulled my phone from my pocket and hit up the best computer person I know. Sas had been on Mazz’s payroll since that nigga Beans had retired and went MIA. I guess him and those thick ass goggles had seen enough action over the years.
“How did I know you’d be calling?” She asked.
“Hell if I know, what you know about some nigga names Miles being related to Mazz?” I asked.
“No last name? I mean I need something to work with.”
“Yo, you the computer mechanic, get that shit for me, shorty.” I crossed my arms and looked out of the large windows that Mecca refused to buy curtains for.
She laughed. “I’ll see what I can do, Kasair.”
She hung up seconds later and I shook my head. The ringing of my phone forced me to look at it. When I saw that it was Quari, I answered.
“You good, ole bitch ass nigga?” He asked.
I laughed.
“Nah you ain’t that’s why you're still up. Open the damn door, nigga.” Mazz responded.
I walked over and opened the door, before looking at the clock on the other side of the room. It read six in the morning.Damn these niggas don’t sleep or something? When I opened the door, the whole damn family was outside. Mazz was holding a sleeping Mel, while Quari stood behind Love.
“Damn, how y’all know I was up? Niggas could’ve been in the good sleep.”
“That’s what I said.” Love rolled her eyes and waddled in the door and took a seat. She looked tired as fuck like Quari had just woke her up out of her sleep.
“Damn, what did he do?” I laughed.
She cut her eyes at me before I heard Mecca’s voice.
“What doesn’t he do? He is an irritation, just like you.”
I could’ve sworn her ass was just sleep, but now she was up talking her shit. “You damn sure wasn’t saying that shit last night, had me fluffing pillows and shit.” I mugged her.
She giggled a little before walking over and taking a seat next to Love.
I looked from them to Quari then at my door before my eyes rested back on them. “I know y’all ain’t come in here without no food or nothing. How do you come to somebody's crib empty handed?”
“Ain’t that about a bitch? We came over here to be?—”
“Talked shit to for what? I could take my ass home and stop off on the way before I hear ya mouth.” Mazzier mugged me coming out of Mel’s room.
