He nodded his head, just before turning around and cornering me in the elevator. “What if I wanted to bend you over right here?”
I smirked feeling all hot and bothered all over again. This nasty ass nigga had me wet on the regular with his anywhere, anytime ass. “Then I’d tell your freak ass that’s this isn’t a porno and my hungry ass stomach ain’t gonna allow it.”
He didn’t get the chance to respond because somebody was stepping on the now open elevator. We had been so caught up in our own world that neither of us realized the elevator door was opening or had even notified us we reached our floor.
“See look at you, got me not paying attention to my surroundings.” Zero pulled me off the elevator behind him.
“You’re the one trying to stuff and fuck me in corners.”
He laughed. We continued on to Malik’s room to get him and my sister. At first they were supposed to meet us in the lobby, but that changed when Malik said my sister needed me to come fix her hair.
“How long doyou think you’re about to pretend that you’re not gonna fuck that man?” I leaned over and said that only loud enough for my sister to hear. It didn’t matter who heard me though because Zero and Malik had gone to get the drinks with Irish who surprisingly showed up. Turns out they knew one another already from not only the courts, but also Pops’ introductions.
“Shit, at least until we leave here. I don’t have any more willpower in me baby. ‘Bout ready to do a few things that’ll have Grandma talking about she ain’t drinking off me for a while.”
“Well she already doesn’t drink off me ever since Irish made that joke last year.”
Ree cackled. “Well. Things with you and Zero seem to be going.”
“They better be. I like him, like that.”
“Mhmm. It’s been a while since I’ve heard you say anything of that nature, so I’m happy for you.”
“Don’t be happy for me, I’m tryna be happy for you.” I winked at her before turning around to greet Zero who I peeped in the mirror was walking up behind me with my drink. I kissed his lips, then sucked on his bottom lip, before we parted. I was wiping my lip gloss from his lips when Malik tossed his two cents in.
“Could y’all do that shit somewhere else?” Malik had his face screwed up.
“Right, nasty asses,” Ree co-signed.
We laughed and I waved them off. Then I noticed my brother hadn’t come back to the table with them.
“Where is Irish?”
“Some shorty with a fat ass and a tray of shots got his ass at the front,” Malik was the first to answer.
I nodded, glancing toward the front to get a glimpse of my brother. When I laid eyes on him he had a big ass smirk on his face and sure as hell he was with some female with a hefty hind side.Typical Irish.Shaking my head I focused my attention back to Zero, who wasn’t shy about where he put his hands in this crowded ass lounge.
Zero’s and my attraction to one another probably seemed purely physical to the naked eye, but it was more. We had this homie-lover-friend type of shit going on. I know this was just the beginning of our relationship and we were in what some might’ve considered the honeymoon stage, but it was something about the vibe. There wasn’t this host of expectations, nor wasthere this insane need to be. It was just us and this magnetic pull that kept us touching like teenagers on the forbidden side of life. It was funny, because that night he came to my house I truly planned to hopped that flight and use sex as a way to get over him.
“You tired shorty?”
“Little bit, but it could be the food. I ate a lot of it.”
“Could be, cause this shit is heavy. Plus yo’ ass was eating off my plate too.” He spoke in my head kissing the side of my face every so often while he looked around the crowded space. I could tell he didn’t do the crowds.
“We can go if you want,” I offered.
“You sure? I ain’t tryna stop yo’ fun.”
I chuckled a little. “My fun is lying in that bed with my hair bonnet. Once I ate, I was done but everybody else still had all this energy and I didn’t want to be a party pooper.
REE
Like a moth to a flame his lips would peck a spot on my skin and rest there for a moment before they found another space. Being in his arms in this crowded space felt right, it felt like it was where I should’ve been in the beginning had I not been trying to deny what burned between us. I didn’t know anything about him other than the things he told me, but through his touch I felt as though I had been familiar with him my whole life. I felt like we belonged in the air we both stood in. Maybe it was the alcohol heightening my inhibitions. I felt like I needed him to touch me in the spaces where Hadees could never, the placed that I didn’t think any man could. However something told me he could. Something told me my body was meant to be his amusement park tonight.
“You sure about this?” his tone was questioning, but his eyes filled with contempt. He didn’t give a fuck if I was sure because he knew in this moment, I’d tell him yes. He knew that in this moment I would tell him whatever he wanted to know so he could explore the depths of my soul through the sopping wet center that throbbed for him.
He curled his hands around my thighs, pulling me to the edge of the bed, never breaking eye contact with me. He needed me to say I was sure instead of laying here in the most painful of silences feeling like my lungs would impale themselves.
