“It’s okay,” he nods, reassuring me.

“But–”

“I want you to, Cooper,” he says, his eyes full of sincerity and his mouth pulled up into a small smile.

I roll my lips into my mouth, fighting at the tears threatening my eyes. “Okay,” I nod, grabbing two handfuls of Robbie’s hair as he sinks back into me all the way to the hilt. I give the strands of his hair a tug as I moan, pulling a groan from Robbie like I’ve never heard before.

“Cooper, I’m so close,” he tells me.

“Ah– okay. That’s okay,” I stammer, feeling unable to come up with anymore words.

Robbie kisses me hard. “I’m only coming if you’re coming with me,” he says, pressing his forehead to mine and staring into my eyes as he drops his hand between us, pressing his fingers against me and circling that sensitive spot while he pumps into me faster than ever before. It only takes a few seconds before my vision blurs, every muscle in the lower half of my body tightening up before I come apart, fireworks shooting off behind my eyes and an explosion going off in my lower abdomen.

“Robbie!” I cry.

I just barely hear the whisper of “Sara Beth”against my lips before Robbie collapses on top of me.

I don’t know how much time goes by as the two of us just lay there, Robbie’s breath fanning against my neck and my fingers running gently through his hair.

“Are you okay?” Robbie eventually asks me, his voice quiet.

“Yes,” I whisper. “I’m just…”

Robbie pushes up, bracing himself on his elbow. “What?” he questions me, his eyes filled with worry.

I let out a sigh. “I’m just wondering two things.”

“Okay,” Robbie says. “What are they?”

I reach up, tracing the outline of his lips. “Well, the first is, how do you ever expect me to be able to work a shift here again?”

The concern melts from Robbie’s face as he lets out a chuckle. “I guess I didn’t really think this through,” he tells me. “I guess you’ll just have to avoid this aisle.”

“Oh, the romance and comedy aisle? Sure. It’s not like anybody ever checks these movies out anyways,” I deadpan, knowing they’re easily our most popular rentals.

Robbie tuts. “Is it horrible if I’m not that sorry?”

“No,” I laugh. “Because I’m not either.”

“You’re not?” he smirks.

I shake my head. “It’s pretty epic to lose your virginity in a movie rental store if you ask me.”

Robbie’s tongue presses into his bottom lip. “Better add that to your stories.”

I blink at him, a smile spreading across my face.

Stories.

Not diary.

“What was the other thing?” Robbie asks.

“Hmm?”

“The second thing you were wondering.”

“Oh,” I mutter, warmth spreading across my cheeks as I almost wish I could take back telling him there were two things.
