Page 78 of Doesn't Count

Because the hate that I feel will only bury you.

Holed up inside of me, he’s been counting down the days

You’ve lured out my demon and he’s ready to play

Pent up with fury from the way he’s been teased

One sight of you makes him want you to bleed

Don’t say you weren’t warned because it’s too late now

He’s here to reap havoc on this world

To reap havoc on you girl.

You say that you hate me, my darling I don’t think you do

(I don’t think you do)

That hate that I feel, isn’t really hate for you

(Isn’t hate for you)

You say that you hate me, my darling I don’t think you do

(I don’t want you to)

That hate that I feel, isn’t really hate for you

(I could never hate you)

I’ll burn down your world with just one look

cause the hate that I feel, is the heart that you took”

The song bleeds with deep growls and screams throughout, masking the words, but I heard every one of them. Blane turns towards me with a taunting smile.

“This is going to be too easy. Ash’s to Ashes, baby. You’ve got this.” He winks before leaving me there with a pit in my stomach.

Chapter Twenty-One

Khaos

“So, what did you think?” I grab Ash, pulling her into me when I notice her boss has left.

Her palms slam into my pecs, wedging a space between us. She distances herself, black paint coating her hands.

"What didn’t you understand about not telling my boss about us?” Her voice is shrill and her muscles tense.

“It’s a song, who says it’s about you?” I scoff, inching forward, the space she’s created meaning nothing to me.

“Khaos! My name is in the damn title!” She yells.

I shrug, “Whoops.”

“Also, if you’re going to divulge new information, divulge it to me and not a million people. That’s literally my job to provide insight on the band that I’m following!” She’s really worked up, her body humming in frustration.

I’m an addict when it comes to her anger. Her rage simmers off of her in little waves, tickling my skin. I can taste the frustration in her voice, and I want to lick it all away, swallow it whole. It’s subconscious, the way I provoke her, always ready to feed the fire in her soul.
