“Any more questions?” he asked.

I hummed, enjoying the sweetness of the berry. “Just that I’m going to be a goddess? What if I suck at it? What am I supposed to be the goddess of?”

Poseidon rolled his eyes. “As if anything you do would be bad. Have you seen how just the few gods you have met behave?”

“Touché,” I said.

“And I don’t know what you will be the goddess of. Ember became an apprentice to Selene, the pairing goddess, Mariah the Shifter became a warrior goddess. So far, every goddess has complimented their mates,” he said simply.

Makes sense.

“My Lord.” Silas’ voice sounded through the soft, sheer material floating on the balcony.

“We are out here, Silas,” Poseidon called to him and wrapped my body with the sheet.

Poseidon pulled me closer to him, when I heard Silas’s suction cups sticking on the marbled tile.

“I’m sorry to intrude, but Athena was trying to contact you. You have not spoken with her in many currents.” Silas bowed respectfully. “She is in your living room.”

Poseidon groaned. “Yes, I will be there in a few minutes. Give her anything to eat or drink she wishes while she waits.” Silas bowed again, and Poseidon set me down on the couch.

“Athena is my therapist,” he cleared his throat. “I have been seeing her to help me with my dark past. I need to tell you about it. Will you be alright if I speak with her?”

“Of course!” I stood up with the sheet covering me. “I think that’s wonderful that you are seeing someone. When my parents died, I saw a therapist. It’s a great way to learn coping skills. There isn’t any shame in it at all!”

He chuckled, running a hand through his hair. “I believe she has helped, but you have helped the most, My Flower. Now please sit. I’ll have Silas bring you some poke, and then we will discuss things further.”

“Yay! Poke!” I clapped my hands excitedly and fell back onto the couch.

Poseidon licked his lips as I fell, my breasts bouncing with the sudden jump. “Yes, I’ll be right back,” he said quickly and hurried off the balcony.

I grabbed a grape and popped it in my mouth, letting the juice explode on my palate. It dribbled down my cheek while I closed my eyes, and I felt a napkin wipe up the access.

“Thanks,” I said with a full mouth.

“No problem,” an unfamiliar voice said. It sounded young, with a hint of playfulness in its tone.

When I opened my eyes to see the intruder, I saw a glimpse of blonde curly hair before my body was being contorted to hide his face. I fought violently, swinging my arms and legs.

“LET GO OF ME!” I screamed.

The sheets that were wrapped around my torso to hide my naked body went over my head, and I became tangled in them. I screamed again, hoping someone would hear while I tried to knee the attacker.

He chuckled and then whistled. “Boy, you certainly are fiery. I bet poor Poseidon didn’t know what to do with you when you fell into his lap.”

“Let me out!” I hissed, “He’s going to kick your ass!”

I’m no skinny thing, but the sheer strength of this man, god, creature, was strong enough to hold me still.

“Poseidon doesn’t have a mean bone in his body. If anything, he will slap my hand. Now hold still.” And that was when my body went limp.

Poseidon

Iwhiskedinsidetogreet Athena. It had been weeks since I’d last spoken with her and she might be sore with me. I didn’t give her any warning that I would miss our daily sessions, nor did I tell Zeus to relay the message.
